Happy belated New Year! You guys always have awesome videos. I'm a minute in the video, and if I was to guess being an explorer myself, I'd say a turn off on Death Valley rd towards Eureka dunes or the Waucoba Mt Saline valley area.. maybe towards Papoose flats, idk I'm taking too many guess at this point, lol.

Last guess.. the nelson range, I didn't notice the joshua trees until later in the video. There is only a few places you get mt trees and Joshua trees in the same place

The engine is a headless Witte built in Kansas City, about a 12 horse in size. Sad to see it sitting there neglected, probably wouldn't take much to get it running again!

@LOSTWORLDCREW I definitely agree on the second one with the big money dude, burns it down(accidentally) then gets a new one for free with donations and people wanting to be a part of it. , I also know for a fact by other seasoned explorers that that service i mentioned destroys more than any snow or wind. Keep up the great work, definitely enjoyed this one especially going up the ladder.

Have you thought about a head lamp to maybe keep tour hand free? And maybe mount the camera to a hard hat the you brought but dont wear. To keep yoyr other hand free.

When you get off the beaten path & way out in middle of nowhere and find old workings miles & miles from ANYTHING , it really makes you appreciate the effort these old prospectors put out to search for wealth and a better life. I was going to guess somewhere out in the Nelson's, maybe the Bird Spring Mine but after seeing that water tank 🤔 I'll go with St. Elmo/Santa Cruz area and the other one is where Torey went solo to over Turkey day out by the Viking / White Swan area...... First one Bonham Mine? Second one Lee Mine? Otherwise I got no idea, cool explores. Also I would really recommend checking out the Anchor Mine in Nevada, Ella Mine near Cerro Gordo, and the Big Bell Mine in Death Valley. All of them are on Google Maps and are amazing explores.

The one in Nevada I guarantee will be one of your favorites. It’s amazing but the hike is brutal we triggered a huge rockslide on the tailings pile and had to repel on a pipe.

@LOSTWORLDCREW that sounds on point. I'm up here in the central valley outside Merced. I've thought about running down getting a motel room to set off exploring from. I know Mojave & Barstow have rooms, you have any recommendations on the best town to set off from? It's a huge area & everything's very spread out, I didn't know if any area has a greater density of sites. Thanks so much, I really do appreciate it.

@jamesbailey3236 really all around death valley, like on the Nevada side staying in Beatty NV . You could go in all directions from there and not be disappointed. It's a cool little town as well, rich in mine history. Check it out it's a pretty cool place

@HeidiHayner where we stopped we were just over 300 feet down, there are no maps past that point that I could find. So we have no idea we could see another 300ft down so who knows. We will be back with all our rope 900ft and will try again

30 or more years ago that log cabin still was mostly intact , roof & door still on it . Time & the elements look to have taken their toll . Still cool to see it here though . 😎👍

@ That I cannot answer as I didn’t go inside at the time. The door was more or less being blocked by debris & we could only barely peer inside. Whomever built it originally definitely designed it to withstand the test of time .

@RemoteTrooper Talc is super fragile so in Talc mines they had to use a lot of timbering to keep it from collapsing on them.

That was a great mine explore, talc mines are usually pretty boring. This one was great. Lots of timbering carbide cans were awesome. Be careful stay safe.

Stoked you enjoyed it, yeah talc mines can be kinda boring some times just because they are more like a quarry. But actually Talc Mines if you can still get in them, should have amazing timbering well lots of it, do to how crumbly the Talc is. All and all fun stuff, hope you keep tagging along
