Totally agree. Shout was the first Crue album I ever heard too. I had such high hopes for the rest of their catalog… and then I heard Gen Swine…

@@macy554 For sure. He was the backbone of the band. Far and away the most talented member of the group and crucial to the classic Crue sound. I think John 5 is a great guitarist, but he's not Mick Mars and it shows.

@@TheCDGuyJZ And, as you know, Tony Franklin is a phenomenal bassist. Who, IMO, is also underrated. I saw him perform live with The Firm in ‘86. And if you comment on his posts, he personally responds. Totally cool guy! Maybe do a show on him sometime?

Not a lot of Mick Mars playing on swine. You can tell. In my opinion that's what's wrong with their new stuff. John 5 is a great player but mick mars is the motley crue sound.
