Anybody know if, after cleaning the filter, you're supposed to spray it lightly with the cleaner before placing it back in the HVAC system? On their website, the text says to spray it lightly before replacing it, but the video doesn't do this. I contacted their tech support, but no response yet after a few days.

This filter has multiple layers that the dirt penetrator that you will never get out. As soon as the filter is used, the efficiency is reduced. They are not worth the money

Hello bro, I hope you are doing well. I have K&N air 33-5076 on my Jeep Wrangler 2020. Today I opened to clean after around 20,000km and I found it full of dust. I noticed that it’s oiled filter and I don’t have the oil to put it again, could you please advise me if I can just put it back after cleaning or I have to re-oil it again? Your response will be appreciated.

I try not to use oil after cleaning because the oil will dirty the mass airflow sensor, then the check engine lights will come on. Then you have to clean the mass airflow sensors too

Filter oil is a critical part of the filtration process for K&N High-Flow air filters. Running the filter without oil could result in reduced engine protection. If you would prefer use a filter that does not need filter oil, consider one of our Dryflow filters. If I oil the filter pretty good and it drips a little, can that suffocate a carburetor? It’s on my motorcycle now and everything seems to be working fine, I’m just wondering I lost any power by possibly overoiling it. My bike doesn’t have sensors to affect, just an old school carb to the engine. I used the aerosol spray.

Apply the oil on the outside (where the outside air will be hitting the filter and can thus grab contaminants before they get into the intake.)
