Your review on Poppy is on point. Another mis opportunity from I.T. Oh well another pass for me. I don’t hate the dress, but it could’ve been better. Perhaps a print on the liner giving the tulle a contrast. The earring are way to big for her scale and she doesn’t have come with manicure hands. Seriously! No manicure hands, just gloves. I can’t even! I don’t even like gloves for any of my dolls. (That’s my personal choice). * Would love to see a beauty mark between the eyebrow and the eye. (More on the outer eye), but not pass the eye brow - if that makes sense. I know I.T. tries to deliver, but some times they just need to step back and take a better look. Another bad choice: The white back ground. Poppy totally disappears. Are they trying to destroy Poppy? BTW: I did like your dress suggestion. Thanks Chris and stay cool. Convention: Would be awesome if you could take some pics and drop them on the WClub Forum. As of videos: They should be by doll line: FR, NuFace, Meteor, Poppy, E. 59th. In general, agree with your thoughts. It is plain considering it's an anniversary doll. The only thing I would say, as a new collector, I don't have the previous dolls so this is still new to me. Though, she underwhelmed me so not planning to get her.

I think this Poppy is very pretty, but the price is just way too high but we get so little from her. I may pass again after Star Muse Poppy because I don't get the same level of excitement compared to Baby Blue Imogen, and now I am very glad that my doll budget is put on Imogen.

I was sooo disappointed with this anniversary Poppy. I was hoping she would get the Kyori treatment, maybe Kyori lite, but you're right, she looks basic. She looks like she's going to Prom. Nothing about her looks fresh, from her overused Bergdorf screening, to her up cycled dress. A bold lip would have brightened up her face, and given her an Elizabeth Taylor look. There have already been so many Poppys this club year. Maybe IT should slow down.

I really like the pale skin/dark hair combination with the pale pink dress, for some reason. But I did see the similarity to the When in Paris and purple Friend or Foe dresses. A white fur stole would be beautiful with this dress, though. I agree that there should've been something with more ooomph for her anniversary! A gift set would've been nice, maybe including a couple of outfits based on early Poppy designs. 😢

I really liked your dress suggestion for Poppy's 15th Anniversary (Pink satin gown with accent bows and jeweled shoes - Love it!) Having what was presented as the "15th Anniversary" Poppy gift doll was very underwhelming. As for the face screening.....David did say that he would bring back some of the older screenings that were presented in the early days of the Poppy Parker line. (To me the eye screening just looks like Poppy is pissed off. *Maybe at the convention David will have a "special" Poppy that will reflect more of a celebration of a 15 year anniversary doll.

The pink dress would've been great as a tube dress with a full crinoline under and over skirt that was removable and then added gold or other color ball gown and a negligee maybe along with it. I just think do her up with additional anniversary goodies. I agree with what you said. She's pretty but that pale complexion with pale pink? No! A dark blue velvet or satin dress would've comlimented her complexion and dark hair color. I passed, I have 2 Poppy's, that enough maybe I can get the dress on the secondary market if they don't charge an arm and a leg, everyone has raised fees so I am not buying much so I am ok with that. I want to get back to sewing anyway. I love your review.❤

Poppy has been IT’s cash cow, but can she last forever? Of course there are the compulsive collectors who will buy anything released, but how many Poppy dolls does the average collector really want or need? Every doll has its day, and the well of new ideas seems to be drying out for Miss Parker.

It almost kills me I will never have this doll. I'm a huge Olivia Newton-John fan, particular of the Totally Hot-Xanadu era. I absolutely love early '80s fashion--which is a period of time that isn't represented nearly enough. I have a particular fascination with the Roller Disco fad. I have a few Poppy Parker dolls, but I don't consider myself a collector, as much as I love them. I've found the ones I like the most to be too elusive to track down, and far too expensive on the secondary market. I would've gladly put down $175 for her-- if she were made available to me--especially since she is so unique to the series. I'm not a member of this W Club though, and I fear that despite the criticisms she is currently getting she will be going for $1000s 'secondhand'.

Lovely presentation of this giftset. The jacket from the suit was inspired by a Jean Paul Gaultier piece from his Spring 2023 Haute Couture Collection which was designed that season by the fabulous Haider Ackermann. Who, may I add, was just hired to be the new Creative Director for Tom Ford. In the meantime, always love your videos!! Keep up the great work. 👍
