Do you have to drain the coolant or no?
@HardwayLearning14 күн бұрын
You do not because it is separate. The transmission fluid runs through the cooler, not coolant through the transmission if that makes sense.

@HardwayLearning thanks for the reply ! At the end i had to loosen the intake without removing it. Just to be able to lift it up a bit so i can undo that bolt. Now i have to replace the coolant and oil, because they were mixing due to leaking gaskets.

So I bought a used 2023 wrx with remote start installed by previous owner . I have been wondering how to make it work. After all it’s juste the way you said except after I press the button to lock it takes at least 2 minutes for the car to shut down . Other than that it’s like you said . Kinda annoying to wait 2 minutes to see if it will shut down I get stressed thinking it could stay on for the day haha
@HardwayLearningАй бұрын
That's interesting, that shouldn't work that way. Are you locking with the fob? Does it confirm ready mode activated when you release the break by unlocking the doors and flashing the lights?
@kevinsavard2681Ай бұрын
@ no in fact I’ve tried many things and I guess it’s the way it was configured originally but , I lift hand brake , release break pedal , get out press the power button ( second button from de bottom) and only then do I get flashes or beeps. Then it stays on for 2 minutes . The lights flash and turns off.

To bad the P0449 is the vent valve not the purge valve. The one that actually needs changed is in the rear under the fuel fill neck. Iam actually a mechanic, this dude clearly isn't. So don't do what this guy's doing and change the wrong part. Also check for power going to it first. It's a constant hot with ignition on. The ground, which comes from the ECM is what actually opens and closes it.
