My most trash sessions happen on my period lol, I’m so low energy & my strength/problem solving go out the window 😅 You did really good! But yes I heard not to climb too hard because chances of injuries increase during your cycle! Thanks for sharing this cool video! Glad I found your channel ❤

Love your humour, my day gets forgotten while I wait for the next punch line. About a month ago I asked Alex - until watching your video I had no clue of his name - for help on a red climb as I saw he was a very good climber, I didn't know he was climbing in a group and when his group moved to another wall he stayed behind for long enough to help me out. I felt like I mattered, new climber in rental shoes, who came away with the understanding of how to do two new holds, because Alex had the time to freely give away, even tho he was with mates.

hey grace! i just discovered your channel and love your videos! as a climber how do you get over the fear of being up so high, in order to commit to potentially sketchy moves? i'm stuck around v4 right now and one of my biggest problems is that i'm afraid to commit, but watching your videos inspires me to push through :)
@gracedoingthings Жыл бұрын
thanks faith for your kind words! it’s definitely a lot of mental strength in my experience, and sometimes it helps me to know that the more i commit the less chance i have of falling and then having to mentally push past the fear. climbing can be scary and it’s completely fair to feel how you’re feeling but i trust that the more you climb and push yourself a bit, the easier it’ll get! good luck 😃

This was such a fun watch! I’m actually really interested in learning how to climb/bouldering someday. Random question why don’t you use a helmet?
@gracedoingthings Жыл бұрын
amazing! I hope you get to climb soon 🎁 very good question! honestly I’m not sure why bouldering doesn’t conventionally use helmets - maybe due to the habit of not using helmets over history? I do know that rope climbing/ lead climbing outdoors definitely uses helmets 👍

its actually not flaring up anymore (and I like slopers more)! yes, it does seem like it affects a lot of people... warming up the fingers and trying less crimpy climbs has worked for me so far :)

Good work, well done 👍 You might already know this. Soft shoes and drop your heel as much as you can to get as much rubber on that surface. Small foot moves, lots of pressure and as you said, trust your feet. Easier said than done for sure. 😜👍🤟

I think climbing is all about freedom. when I am climbing there is nothing but me and wall. all I have to do is focus on my body moves and send it. In that process I can feel freedom something like that. and also I can try to break my limits,. feel the nature outdoors, make friends easily, comunicate with people through climbing. and there are so many other things hahaha
