these throwbacks make me miss climbing at 9d even more 😭 I remember all the pink dynos being pretty tricky (and the cave orange, don't think I ended up doing that one!) hope you're still holding up well in lockdown!

I have just come across the world of bouldering, and your channel and am loving both! I would love to see a video about how you started your journey/interest in climbing, your climbing goals etc, or just a chatty video :)

On orange it seemed like having the left foot lower helped you stick the big move

Re camera -- there's a noticeable difference w/ some of your footage, but IDK if you used the G7x for those clips (I guess that or a phone); either way 👍. The better lens on the m50 will make a big diff, too. Also, if you haven't taken the M50 climbing, yet, then FYI chalk is *going* to be an issue (unless you have an unchalked camera-person) -- I have a lumix g7 that is now my 'climbing camera' for this reason. Lenses will get chalky too but those're easier to clean than the camera. (edit: I forgot that if you've taken the g7x out then you already know this. it's new to me which is why it was on my mind)

Thank you Max for your advice, very insightful :) Yes, I am keen! The chalky lens will be tricky - I shall hopefully evolve and find the best setup as I go hehe. Appreciate your help :)

@@gracedoingthings YW! Looking fwd to seeing it in action :D hopefully not long now (till climbing gyms reopen; unless you're planning some outdoors stuff). I just had another thought, too. (thinking out loud here) probs the 2 best things for the longevity of a climbing-camera are: not changing the lens (or only doing so carefully) b/c chalk on the sensor is worse than chalk in the lens; and keeping/cleaning chalk out of the buttons. A stock m50 15-45mm lens is like $180 on ebay, so sorta affordable (if the lens breaks, e.g. autofocus stops working or something), but it's hard to replace the sensor without just buying a new body. If you don't already have one of the squeezy-air-puffy-things, they're only a few $ on amazon/ebay and they're *much* better than blowing on the lens/sensor to get rid of dust. Anyway, I feel like I'm in waffling territory so I will leave it there. Hope your camera experiments go well!
