I was there. I am sad 😢it won’t be a speedway anymore that is my home state track. The years my bro and I went to the race was 2003,2010 and 2016.

Yeah. Me too. I have tickets for tomorrow but hoping the rain stops long enough to get the race in. 😬

This was back when NASCAR haulers had really cool paint schemes. These had character to them. So blah now! And when they used yo drive from Ontario, thru Rancho Cucamonga, and into Fontana.

This is a great fan video here, but why did you not show the Logano/Stewart pit road post race fight?

At the time I didn't realize it was going on. Everyone was fixated on Denny Hamlin in front of us. When he climbed out of the car and went straight to the ground everyone had a pretty good idea that he was in bad shape.

I'm not 100% sure. I did a quick Google search and did not find any lifters for that engine. So I don't think so. A quick call to a Ford dealership and someone there could easily tell you. Is your engine making noise?

Being a Hamlin fan, this is awful to watch. What was destined to be a great year was destroyed and ended up being the worst year of his career. It's too bad because he had been racing great up to that point but wasn't getting the finishes (a trend throughout his career). Hamlin is racing well this year but doesn't have the cars. I love him but hope he doesn't win the championship. If my driver wins the championship, I want him to deserve it.

@Jacob King is correct. The only difference that was in between Denny Hamlin and death was the HANS device. The HANS device in my opinion makes all the difference, because it was for all the hard hits that didn't impact SAFER barriers. It's saved many lives. Of course, SAFER barriers help a lot too.

Actually where Hamlin hit there isn't a safer barrier, if you will watch, and note how there isn't a safer barrier in the video called Hamlin: Logano wasn't going to let me win.

No it's not. lol. Sr. didn't slide at all really, he was on the bottom and in a sec was in the wall. And he honestly didn't hit as hard as Denny did here.

Yep, shit costs $500/foot, 2 mile track times 5280 ft./mile equals over 5 million dollars, and that's only the outside wall, if you want to do it to the inside, go ahead and double that number. The tracks not a charity, so to build that wall, it would take a $5 hike at every race of 100,000 for 5 years with 2 races a year to pay for it. Stop thinking money grows out of thin air with everything and grow some damn sense.

They go through a process to determend if it will help or hurt the drivers if they put the SAFER barrier in certain places. In this case NASCAR said they don't have SAFER barriers in that particular spot is because its not a spot that cars hit alot and if they put them in certain areas kinda like that area the car is liable to bouce of the wall and back into traffic. You want it to absorb the impact not sling shot the car back on the track like Sam Hornish did at Watkins Glen plowing into Gordon
