@codered592 Well they do sell bypass pulleys that mount in place of the a/c compressor so you don't have to spend so much money replacing the compressor or replace the belt every time it breaks. I'm not sure what car you own but if it's a Ford Escort try to Google (ford escort bypass pulley for ac compressor). They cost about 40 dollars. Good luck.

just buy a belt for non ac engine and there you go bypass cost maybe 5$
