No need to loosen the gearstick surround at all to get the pillars out Pull the plastic dash surround under the speedo dial and they remove easily

after i sold my daihatsu Materia i didnt need the gauges, they fit perfectly with the color , but now after a few years lying in a box i found them and would use them... the color inside the car is orange and what should i say... thx for this video..

Just a heads up, the design of the cupholder and inserts is actually my original work (I am not mad and, in fact, glad the design is finding some use). I posted the designs to a few 3D printing sites under COmmon-Use copyright (can share, but should not be sold, and should give credit to the designer). A lot of the issues you bring up are things I fixed in later iterations of the files, but eventually ditched the design altogether in favor of designing a TPU (rubber-like) ring with tiny wings that grip different-sized cups/items and is embedded into the cupholder. This way, you do not have to worry about storing the different rings in your glove compartment. If you would like to try that version, I am happy to print a set and send them to you (if you cover shipping as I live in California).

Honestly might end up buying these regardless of the double din, seem like an improvement over the tiny OEM ones 👍🏻
