I’m not seeing a single r53 (been looking to buy one) with this head unit? They all have the “mini boost” awkwardly shaped base model cd unit?

I cant see why you would use the OEM R53 headunits, they are such old tech now and its easy to chuck a single din headunit in there with bluetooth/carplay etc

Is removing the trim where the shifter is necessary? Done it plenty of times by just popping down the under tray on each side, undoing the torx bits and the down tubes just slide out

It makes it easier, I’m sure it’s possible to do it other ways, this is just the method I follow

Lovely gp1 that. But do you still own or plan to do any gen 2 content? I have a cooper s jcw tuning kit. Would love more r56 content. 😅
