I currently own a 1999 3000GT. Color is in the 3000GT's "Signature" Bright Caracus Red Color & was bought brand NEW from the Mitsu Dealership way back in 1999 itself by my family. Unfortunately, our 3000GT is only a Base Model & NOT a VR4 one :( But no matter, VR4, SL or Base, it's still a 3000GT & we still kept ours in good hands with only ~60,000 miles as of now I am writing this in 2024. Our 3000GT Base is still a beauty, especially with her bright red caracus red color still glistening as of today in 2024 & despite our base 3000GT is weaker than the VR4 version, she is still a 3000GT, one of Mitsubishi's finest! For those who currently own any 1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT of Base, SL or VR4 models, Happy 25th Birthday to your 1999 3000GTs & congratulations for keeping your 1999 3000GTs in good hands for 25 years (aka. 1/4 of a century).

Those seats are amazing, the only few things I would change in the interior of a 99 vr4 is the steering wheel to a Mitsubishi Colt which looks like it should have been made for that car. And the head unit to the eclipse infinity head unite from a 2003 model and lastly the white overlay dials on the gauge cluster like the way they did on their eclipse 99 gsx models. Awesome car

As a former Daihatsu charde owner with a 1.0 liter 3cylinder diesel engine, i notice 2 major differences between the cars. 1, the fuel consumption off the SS is absolutely ridiculous, tipical for Americans to praise a car like this. And 2, the difference in acceleration, wich is almost the same, the only difference is that with the Chevy/Holden it is like 4/5 seconds from 0 to 60 mph, while with the Daihatsu diesel i owned it was more like 4/5 days, on monday reaching 15, then on teusday 20/25 and so on. Life was a bit slower then.

Interesting how this video still remains relevant! High performance sedans with manual transmissions are just very few and far between, and will be dead in just a year or two. I think you did a nice evaluation between the two, but I think you have something very wrong, and that's the sound. A four door sedan sounding like a muscle car is not an advantage. Who's the demographic? A guy who wishes he had a Camaro, but needed a sedan for his family? Then the car cannot cost 50 grand! 50 grand puts you square in the M3, ATS-V category and man, or man, this car does not have the cache to be compared to those cars.....not even close! Face it, who wants to pay 50 grand for a sedan, and have the name Chevrolet on the back....regardless of how it looks, and man the looks are boring, boring, and more boring.
