Great layout and nice video. This is how a video should be presented, NOBODY TALKING IN THE BACKGROUD and good use of mise en scène.

The F-unit A-B-B-A lashup looks fabulous. I greatly admire F-units...and the layout is very nicely done. I like the trackwork. 👍

Having grown up in California from age 7 in 1967, I've always been an SP fan. It would be cool to build a correct late era SP Coast Starlight or Owl but it seems brass passenger cars would be need for much of it. I have the Genesis version of the FP7's, including #6447 which also pulled CZ cars just before the Rio Grande Zephyr was inititiated.

Since I am 72 years old I remember the times that my family traveled from Los Angeles California to Cleveland Ohio by train in the early 1960s. On the part of the trip from Los Angeles to Chicago our family road on the Santa Fe El Capitan with the Hi-Level cars. These railroad passenger cars by Santa Fe have disappeared into the past.

Great video! Also a PRR fan, glad to see a full consist running. Nice job on the drumhead and marker lights. One improvement for a great visual effect, add a full width diagram in between the diner and kitchen Cars. The Coach Yard has these, the only thing you will have to check is the curve radius of the track you are running on, these diaphragms will be very close. Again great job.

First step to more realistic modeling is to remove the lights from inside the cars. Unless you run trains in the dark, brightly lit passenger cars spell "toy trains." Then add window shades.

Beautiful consist - as a frequent rider of the Capitol Limited between Garrett, IN, Akron, OH and Chicago, I have to take exception to your train make up. B&O ran the Columbian coach equipment on the head end of the train, including the coach dome car. The twin unit dining cars were normally in the middle of the train separating coach and Pullman. The rear of the train would be all Pullman. B&O only owned three Pullman dome cars, one on each of the Capitol Limited equipment sets and one operating every other day on one side of The Shenandoah's equipment. There could be a 'Slumbercoach' within the Columbian equipment, but only one. The Pullman section of the train could contain one or more 'Bird' cars (Pullmans named for birds) which, I think, were 21 Roomette Pullmans. The square end Observations Napanee and Wawasee were the regulars. The train would have a different configuration East of Willard, OH where the Ambassador was switched into and out of the Capitol. The Ambassador was destined Detroit.

Excellent presentation my friend, I own many of the same pieces, but you figured out a way to install a red warning in the Observation Dome. Outstanding work inspiring me to do the same in all my Walther's Dome Observations. Point of accuracy, The Dome Observation Lounges only lasted about a year (1955-1956) at the end of the COLA. They were then shopped with a diaphragm being installed and the rear windows blanked (Plates welded over) for mid-train operation. Walthers has also produced this "Mid-train Dome Lounge". Suggest you obtain this car to improve the "1960" accuracy. The car then ran approximately the middle of the train coupled to the Dome Diner. The Dome Observation Lounges were not returned to their original appearance/configuration until the 80's - not all were returned. Thanks again for a Great Effort!!!

I tried to keep it under 15 since the Century Train was made up mostly of sleepers. So I think it around that number or less. They did sometimes add an ATSF 4-4-2 and a 24-8 sleeper in the mix

I like how SP and ATSF get shit for "shouldn't paint so fast" meanwhile GN just gets away with introducing a completely new scheme three years before a planned merger.

Saw the cap and chief in Chicago many times, arriving from California it was always kinda dirty looking but when it left Chicago it look like they wax those cars, they serviced it in china town in Chicago 22nd street, then backed it into Dearborn station, to see it leaving Chicago all shinny was stunning, and those warbonnet's, I didn't know what looked better, the empire builder, panama limited over at 12th street, or the north coast limited, my favorite was them warbonnet's 👌👌 Atchison, Topeka, & Santa fe
