Good video! Maybe a future video idea would be to try and see if the drinkmate wasts less co2 compared to sodastream machine, like e-terra. Maybe see how many bottles of carbonated drinks you get out of the eterra vs the drinkmate. Or compare the co2 used up after making 15 bottles of water in each. At the moment with your experience of using these machines, do you think the DrinkMate wastes less CO2 compared to the e-terra or Art? Are you considering drinkmate's stainless steel bottle, a sodastream with glass bottle or the aftermarket stainless steel bottle that is compatible with sodastream as a future purchase?
@BrandonsFLUR
@BrandonsFLUR Ай бұрын
Overall, the drinkmate likely uses the least amount of co2. The button is very sensitive when carbonating. Once you hear decompression it's wasting co2. I would say the ninja thirsti uses the most co2, followed by the eterra. Any that uses electronics likely waste the most. I have heard that glass bottles keep carbonated drinks best. I'm honestly not a fan of metal containers, I have a thing about metal with drinking and eating. A weird fact about me is that I use plastic utensils every time I eat unless I'm at a restaurant or a place that doesn't offer plastic ware.
@chrgeorgeson
@chrgeorgeson Ай бұрын
Hey man. Ive watched quite a few of your videos. Curious as to why you havent modified your carbonator to have a larger co2 tank? I just recently did that with my soda stream (E-terra) and saved a ton of money. I use my SS as my main source of hydration (plain soda water) and its now only $15 every two months with a ten pound tank. That saves about $65 a month. Great videos by the way.

@PanthorPapa84 if you are trying to do soda you should look into the Omnifizz. Video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2jWmYKKmMhnqq8 I'm working on an comparison of machines video. To get to your question Simpli Soda uses screw on type only. Sodastream has both screw on and quick connect just depends on your machine.

is there any kind of financial reimbursement for customers to return the canisters to them? Or is it just because it's a great way to reduce, reuse, recycle? We are just looking into buying a soda stream. Also, what is the part about you only have 60 days to return the canisters or you're charged for them, part? Do they actually charge you the first time to buy them filled then they charge you again if you don't return them? Thank you for your help!
@BrandonsFLUR
@BrandonsFLUR Ай бұрын
Hello, first off, thanks for watching. If you are just now starting your carbonation adventure and looking into machines I highly recommend the Omnifizz. Video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2jWmYKKmMhnqq8si=Xxjx_w3hcdPyEYHH It is overall a better machine than sodastream. With that being said any carbonation is going to be good but omnifizz just feels better since you can carbonate any beverage. On to your question, the canisters are $30 and to refill is $15. If you use Simpli Soda they have cheaper refills at $13 but they only have screw on type. If you get refills and you don't send back the empty cylinders instead of charging you $13-15 they will charge you $30. The key is to have 3-5 cylinders, when 2 or 4 cylinders are empty you send 2 or 4 back and always have 1 full cylinder. I will be coming out with a video in the coming week or so comparing different machines. Also links are in the description below for machines if you choose to want to support me via Amazon valid for 24 hours. Thanks again and hope this is the response you were looking for.

You can do it just depends on the machine you have. A machine like the Art where you control how much carbon goes in and can watch how much you are decompressing you can do some sugar free stuff. Now with stuff that has sugar I wouldn't recommend. I will say if you are in the market for a new machine that can carbonate any beverage beforehand, Check this video out kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6illnmgoNJmarM

@BrandonsFLUR

Lemon juice and baking soda are known to be good safe cleaning agents when mixed. When they are mixed they do make a neutralized solution. With the lemon, baking soda, water, and dish soap it becomes a powerhouse in cleaning the bottles.

@BrandonsFLUR
@BrandonsFLUR 2 ай бұрын
I like the OmniFizz a lot more. With that being said I'll do a comparison video. As for the amount of fizz per co2 amount. It's hard to tell. Anytime you hear any decompression from the machines, it means you are losing co2.
