Thank you. It was pretty easy to replace, rear old molding was harder to pull out than the front but it didn’t take long. I also noticed you can just yank the door panel out towards you and they come right off.

you really don't need to do all this and leave a bunch of exposed metal, as well as the back of your headlights being wide open. I run a 285/75r16 at4w on a 16x8-25mm scs f5 on a stock 23 pro. Trim the edge of the front bumper, move the mount bolt back to the hole you cut off. Heat and mold the front wheel well liner back 3 inches and the fronts done. Rear has a bmc and pinch weld flattened kept the wheel well liner just molded it tight to the pinch weld. 3 degrees of caster gained another half a inch at the rear. I have custom made mudflaps cut the metal/bottom of the fender flare at an angle drilled a new hole further back to mount the bottom of the flare and my L bracket for the mudflaps. The exposed metal was painted then coated in cosmoline then the wheel liner plus the mudflap cover it. Mudflap is molded to match the bmc. No exposed metal anywhere and tonnes of clearance. All these just lift it people don't seem to understand a coilover lift doesn't help with clearance at full bump, a spacer lift does but they introduce a whole other pile of issues. The way you did it is the fast and dirty way, living in Canada I'm anal about exposed metal in winter. Not necessarily anything wrong with how you did it it's your truck but there a much cleaner ways.

Quick question bro! How cold does your Miata AC get in stand still traffic 100 degree + day?
@FloGarage25 күн бұрын
@@paulregener7016 honestly, it’s too hot for the AC to catch up. Especially if you’re not moving. The soft top lets in a lot of heat and feels like the AC isn’t doing much. That’s pretty normal in these cars
@paulregener701625 күн бұрын
@@FloGarage I want to find a solution! I will find it and make sure everybody who ever owns these cars will finally have the coldest AC on the block. First solution I heard so far is to ditch the inefficient compressor from the NA-NB Models and build an adapter for the NC compressor. I heard the more efficient compressor changes the car completely. But I don’t have a “spare” Miata to test this.

Just did both front moldings on my 2013 si 4 door. As others have mentioned I was able to accomplish without removing inner door panel but you do have to be careful not to snap the 4 clips off. Take your time and wiggle it out. I installed the screw on part first (Door Sash 72470-TR3-A01 ) BEFORE installing the new molding as it slides into the sash. I needed to replace because I was getting drips of water inside my car (near the front hood release latch which soaked my driver side carpet under my all season floor mats) and I can confirm this fixed it. Will do the rear moldings and also grab some door visors. Hopefully that will help new moldings last longer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Edit: it was actually a hairline seam leak on the roof on the driver side under the molding 😐

This is totally unrealistic, usually what happens is that after you replace the thing, the noise is still there. Then you do two more fixes. Then the noise is still there. Then you refill windshield washer and the noise is gone. Then you drive 100km and the noise comes back. Three weeks later and you've convinced yourself the noise was always there.
