I played this trilogy more than a decade ago when I was still an immature youth who thought she knew it all. This game reminds me of how much I'd grown, and how much the story still impacts me today even after all these years. There are things that could be updated to reflect the more progressive nature of the day and age today (2024), but otherwise, the narrative itself is timeless. Also, Liara is the best LI, so there's that.

ME1 has always been my favorite. I appreciate the high stakes later on, but there was something indisputable about the feeling of walking across the stars, exploring places no human had ver set foot before that I can't forget.
