So...why is this guy making those odd appearances in the video. Because he has the guitar? I'm sorry....that's just weird.

I come back to this live version and its drum solo (by Steve Gadd) at least 4x a month. Too tasty.

Carol looks straight at James. She is singing this to him. The look in her eyes, the smile gives an understanding that is completely validated with the song. The soul of the song is honored. SHEESH…. This tugs on my heartstrings. God has blessed this, without a doubt. Thank you Carole and James…. From East Tennessee

After Fire and Rain, Shower the People is my favorite JT song. This rendition is superb. A message that could heal the world if we all just listened. My son and I danced to this at his wedding 13 years ago. Loving memories.

A masterpiece. James is one of a few artists that can really take you along for the ride and make you feel like you're there. Unfortunately times have gotten even worse for jobs like millworkers at least then there was likely a pension and decent benefits, now mostly outsourced to another country.

What about the tango in the bridge @ 1:18? Genius.
@mannys19305 ай бұрын
@@paulrevelli there's so much here that just "Steve". I didn't necessarily hear it as a " Tango,", more like... Oh Steve is doing the parade drum thing... but yes.... definitely.... Same with the cowbell out the breakdown/rideout. It actually more embellishing on a song than you usually hear from him...
