DIA to Durango isn't a fun flight either. Going down its a 2x1, then coming back its either a 2x1 or sometimes a 2x2. Super small planes with a good amount of bounce to their ride. I flew it 5 times this past year and one time was choppy enough to make me puke. Can be as quick as 45 minutes or as slow as 1:15. Its also around $350 round trip or $500+ if you get refundable. I think I'll drive down to ski.

Purgatory, Chapman, and Hesperus(?), maybe. But not this year. All right by Durango. Or you can ski down the hill from Ft Lewis and take the city bus back up :)

I recommend wearing goggles when going fast because your eyes are so important ;)

If you lean up hill you will fall over as that is inclining. Try turning from knees and hips with upper body facing down the hill for upper and lower body separation.

as i can only speak from personal experience, having had the opportunity to work for 4 months as a instructor for the first winter in my life, and getting to ski more than double the amount of weeks i totalled up in my entire life before that, the going faster is really all in making the miles first, like driving a car, building a certain automatism through muscle memory into your technique and freeing up your head that way and allowing you to look further ahead, knowing whats a head will automatically make you ski or board faster. outside that conditions matter a lot too, spring snow just doesnt allow you to go so fast plus the margins for error get slimmer at the same time cause theres less snow around the slopes to cushion any mistakes that lead to whipeouts.
