what is second glass ?
@RodovalPTY
@RodovalPTY 26 күн бұрын
In both ends of the court (behind the baseline) the glass is segmented in 5 vertical glasses. What the coach is saying is that in order to top spin smash it and get the ball out of the court, if you count from right to left, the right hand player needs to hit in between the 1st and 2nd glass or at least the 2nd glass, if the ball bounces in glass 3 (which is the full middle) even that the ball goes to the right, it will not go out because is too far, and if the ball bounces in glass 1 (the first one from right to left) its to close to the side glass and it will bounce in the side glass and will not get out . =)

From the attacker's point of view, if you see or anticipate them stepping in, how do you punish them ? Make it bounce in front of them ? Play slow and deep into the middle/or close to the wall ?

Great video. The goal is to block the ball before it touches the ground right?
@PadelRing
@PadelRing Ай бұрын
This is more an advanced technique, and it’s basically to anticipate the shot getting into the corner by stepping in front of the line, when the ball comes extremely hard. Like a hard Vibora.

But the ball has to put on the ground before to hit it It ‘s not allowed hit it before.

I think your elbow is too low, your arm is not extended enough. Therefore your demonstration looks like a mix of bandeja and forehand volley with large swing. I also agree with the previous comment, speed should be slow to medium regarding the opponent's position to have enough time to recover the net after the shot.

I feel like this is the one type of hit in Padel that those coming from tennis can more easily do better than those not coming from tennis. This is, to me, basically an overhead smash that I used to work on in tennis.This video helps me understand how it needs to be done, which is not easy, but it helped break it down into steps that I can understand and follow. Thanks, PadelRing!!! 🤩

I also change the grip for the bandeja, not so open as the vibora but I open a little and the feeling and effect is better in my case!

Very cool video, very informative! Its nice to see people that are still learning evolve because we can all learn. im not a advanced player but i think your front foot needs to twist sooner as you hit the ball, and not so delayed. Feels like its dragging your momentum that is generated from the shifting the weight from back foot to front foot and wasting energy. Notice how when your coach hits the ball his foot is already forward as his weigth has already shifted to that foot and its facing the direction of the strike and you are still sideways. Hope it helps.

another tip is when hitting the ball you should be able to stop in balance without adjusting your feet after the shot. sometimes your out of balance afterwards.

I was looking for in the comments if someone was mentioned that. Totally agree, great feedback. He needs to improve his stance position to produce a more efficient movement and transfer the power from his lower body through his core to the arms.

a tip would also be where you hit the ball, you should hit 2 or 3 o'clock. You hit it sometimes 4 or 5 o'clock. wich makes it a hybrid of a vibora and bandeja, but that can also make the ball go alot in glass.

I think you shouldve mentioned the most important thing with bandeja: the power of the shot should come from upper torso rotatation, not hand movement. When preparing for the hit, looking over the left shoulder or even touching your left shoulder with chin helps.

that is mentioned in the next video I am making about some common mistakes doing the shot! For now its just about keeping the shot basic so people understand the fundamentals.
