Its hard to believe anyone ever doubted LT's abilities as a football player. Just the perfect running back skill set.

Why would you get up here and more or less brag about how your ancestor owned 50 slaves. What a biggot and scumbag loser. (Chris Tomlinson, I'd be ashamed of myself.) Chris Tomlinson give it a break about owning slaves and giving them your family name. You are a real piece of crap.

It takes a wise and seasoned athlete to know when to pull themselves from competition. Most people, even high-level athletes, don't understand that.

The greatest overall RB of all time (take into account his power rushing, and speed). If you were to draw up the perfect-overall back. You would make LT. The man is great. I hope the young bucks respect his play. The dude is the definition of a dawg

I am lifelong Bronco fan but have always loved LaDainian Tomlinson. Having him in the same division wasn't fun but I'm a football fan first. He was one of the greatest running backs ever. He could do it all, run, catch, block and throw for TD's. The best thing about LTII (I'm old, so he's LTII) was who he was/is as a human being. You hear the stories from his Mom and people that knew him in his youth and he was a good person back then. God bless.

How on God's green earth do you as a black man stand there and listen to that man talk about how your ancestors were slaves in a kinda smug, condescending way? This would've had to be done over the phone! Hellllllllllllllll naw

I feel bad that LT wasted most his career on a crappy franchise like the Chargers. Even now that team will never be successful with Dean Spanos as their owner. That man has zero intentions on winning, he only cares about MAKING MONEY smh. As long as Spanos is owner, they will remain cursed.

I can tell you how much of a good role model LT is. You can tell how well a person was raised just from the softness of their tone. He entered the league underrated and no doubt be in the Hall.

This is the perfect example that a mother with hardships can raise a son to be morally driven, god fearing, responsible and well mannered even with an absent father. LT is the perfect role model on/off the field. I can see Walter Peyton and Emitt Smith’s influences down to the soft spoken tone when he speaks. His mom should be very proud of how her son turned out. I’ve had friends with absent fathers who no doubt would have went down the wrong path if not for having one of those special mothers who were successful in having perfect balance between love and discipline. In today’s society, to raise children to focus on their education and future instead of the streets and negative influences takes “creative” parenting or more accurately “committed” parenting. You can tell how amazing LT’s mother is just by how he conducts himself. Great story

This dude LT was clearly the best player in the NFL in his prime, he should have won MVP the year he broke the record. Rings are a team achievement, he was a Barry Sanders in San Diego, didn't have a O Line like Emmitt Smith, retired a legend like Calvin Johnson
