I hate, hate, hate the measuring bar being SB wins. LT and Dan Marino are with out question amongst the top 5 all-time at their positions. (oooo. and Fran Tarkenton) As soon as someone sez, "well, SB wins..." I stop taking them seriously as an NFL lover. Oh. You are a fan. But you don't get it.

Championships don’t effect the legacy of players in positions like this. No one says a DT wasn’t great because he doesn’t have any rings. QB and head coach are the only positions in football where wins and losses matter

I am lifelong Bronco fan but have always loved LaDainian Tomlinson. Having him in the same division wasn't fun but I'm a football fan first. He was one of the greatest running backs ever. He could do it all, run, catch, block and throw for TD's. The best thing about LTII (I'm old, so he's LTII) was who he was/is as a human being. You hear the stories from his Mom and people that knew him in his youth and he was a good person back then. God bless.

This is the perfect example that a mother with hardships can raise a son to be morally driven, god fearing, responsible and well mannered even with an absent father. LT is the perfect role model on/off the field. I can see Walter Peyton and Emitt Smith’s influences down to the soft spoken tone when he speaks. His mom should be very proud of how her son turned out. I’ve had friends with absent fathers who no doubt would have went down the wrong path if not for having one of those special mothers who were successful in having perfect balance between love and discipline. In today’s society, to raise children to focus on their education and future instead of the streets and negative influences takes “creative” parenting or more accurately “committed” parenting. You can tell how amazing LT’s mother is just by how he conducts himself. Great story

It’s hard to objectively measure who the GOAT RB is in NFL history. So many different statistics and longevity to factor in... But one argument for LT being the greatest ever: he has the greatest prime of any RB ever. From 02-07, he racked up totals in yds and touchdowns that most of the other greats were only able to attain over the course of a decade or more. People see his overall stats and forget how quickly he achieved them and how incredible that is. LT, Barry, and Walter Payton top 3 in my book.
