I was dx this year in March. I started losing my hair somewhere between January and February of this year. I went to see a hairdresser and they suggested that I see dermatologist. Mind u that I have locs. So, I scheduled my appointment. Been using a cream and liquid solution. Also now on an oral medicine. My hair is doing something but I still have wide parts in some areas. Plus my mental has been at it low lately. I feel shame and tempted to cut my hair again. I probably been going through it and just did not know it. Now I just want my hair to be healthy

I was experiencing the same thing you did so I did some research and found out. They did a study on CCCA and shown that topical metformin is the new treatment to treat the inflammation. I also do laser light therapy every other day I’ve been taking the same vitamins since I’ve been diagnosed with ccca and now my hair starts feeling dry . I know it’s time to start seeing a profession hairstylist.

Thank you for sharing your journey. I was diagnosed with alopecia last year. But I’m Looking for a doctor that knows ethnic hair. They didn’t do any blood work and told me it was general alopecia. I’m only losing it at the top of my head and my temples. Then there’s a few random spots all around. It’s very hard and people brush it off and minimize the stress of it since you’re not skin bald. Sucks.

Anyone who have alopecia try the fruit cleanse and see how fast that hair grows back 👍🏾. I can contest to that.

Check your vitamin D levels. Watch Dr Berg. Low vitamin D is linked with CCCA and black women with fibroids. I'm combating both via supplementation and diet.

Don't give up!!! I have CCCA there's a compound medication with Metformin combine Minoxidil that research says its a game changer and its for CCCA. The inflammation is internal so I would suggest Doxycycline to clear up inflammation. I've been taking compound for 2 months now and I see a difference. I hope it helps

Be encouraged. I know it is frustrating to work so hard just to keep some hair on your scalp. I get frustrated sometimes as well but I know if I don't keep up with my scalp care the inflammation will take over and the CCCA will take all of my hair. I don't have a long wash day, because I can't go more than 3 days without shampooing. It seems that is the only way my scalp stays calm and I have very little hair shedding.

Thank you for this 🙏🏽 Im learning even on my bad days to still remain encouraged and hopeful. And I think Ill be washing my hair more often to reduce the inflammation for sure!

I have a meeting with my doctor this Thursday because ive had alopecia from Covid before . But ive had scalp pain for the last year that comes and goes and hair loss. Just clumps. So I'm hoping you and myself luck.

Personally my diet consisted of fruits during the day and an occasionally raw salad in the early evening towards the end. My focus was mainly fruits to cleanse my body first . I also took the bitters at night because it can cause frequent bathroom use or vomiting didn’t want that at work .

This is a light thing for God. Look in to ayurvedic herbs..hibiscus flowers, dandelion root ,fennel, milk thistle and butterfly pea flower tea...also, the number game changer : Ghee butter...it will change your life.. it has to be cultured organic grass-fed. Take 3 tsp in hot water. On a empty stomach. Also celtic sea salt course. U only need a little on your finger and put under your tongue let it get in your system. Drink your 8 ozs of water. Twice aday.. that would keep you hydrated.. please do your own research.. I had seborrheic dermatitis. It also deal with inflammation of the body...hair loss, itchy ,burning scalp.. I tell you I have seen results in a week...this has changed my life. I pray the same for you...

Are you plant based now or what’s your current lifestyle of eating? How did you go back to eating after the bitters? I hear you have to be very careful, even if you go back to eating animal products, you can’t eat it right away, gotta ease back into it?
@ElevateyourChi7 ай бұрын
I’ve been plant based for about 5 years now. After I was done with the bitters I slowly started to eat solid food for my last meal of the day but initially I really didn’t have much of an appetite after which is a good thing 💕

Hello thanks for sharing your story. Recommendation from someone who has CCCA since 2006 and declined the steroid treatments. I have chosen to take anti inflammatory supplements, eventually went natural. The game changer for me was the green tea essential oil added to diy hair oil which addresses inflammation and DHT a hormone which causes hair loss. Biggest game changer was an investment in Red light therapy hat which I use pretty much daily. ‘Instant relief of inflammatory symptoms and hair regrowth. I would highly recommend. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing your tips 💕 I’m on DHT supplements and spray now which helps tremendously! My red light treatments are coming up soon hopefully that helps as well

I definitely recommend the red light therapy & supplements for inflammation. Also, exercise & eating more healthy diet. 6 months later massive improvements . Also, no stressful hairstyles. Daily massage with water based serum, weekly washing with sulfur & salicylic acid shampoo and moisturizing shampoo after.
