OK, so first off great collection really enjoyed your takes and second Tokyo revengers should’ve ended in volume 21 and 22 but it just keeps going for no reason so 23 and 24 is where it gets terrible in my opinion but don’t take my word for it you might enjoy it

Blessed Collection Space D. Sequential Art (Literature but for Comics) is my fav story medium and just love all the channels embracing the contents. I wanted to suggest to you: CIGUATERA!!! Only usa release so far from one of my fav ‘Realistic Everyday Living’ type of stories by Minoru Furuya. His stories swing from all kinds of corners from lighthearted comedy to sudden intense crime related moments involving the Yakuza then another suspenseful turn to dark toxic relationships such as sadistic physical/mental/emotional abuse etc. One More Thing: I am elated to know you are one of those that deeply love Blade of the Immortal! I consider it up there with other series everyone talks about such as Vagabond, Berserk, Vinland Saga etc. BotI imo is probably the earliest manga that begins illustrating more modern character designs (this series was way back in 1993 btw). Before Blade, the character designs look very vintage nowadays. Other than that: Always Read More Comics/Mangas/Graphic Novels.
@spacedog64410 күн бұрын
Thank you! I’ve heard that Ciguatera is a bit similar to the works of Shuzo Oshimi so I’ve been interested in checking it out.
@sebastiantravis940610 күн бұрын
@ Anytime bud. Btw I would like to counter and say not exactly similar to Shuzo Oshimi, if anything Inio Asano is def similar to Oshimi. Minoru Furuya is more like: Fly on the Wall, with almost Documentary-like storytelling (except admittedly Minoru loves to do exagerrated Male expressions unlike Inio or Oshimi). Basically MF, captures life as how the way things are. Good days full of joy and breezy hanging out then days where you are at a low point BUT NEVER depressing or very pessimistic like how Inio or Oshimi write their stories. This is where Minoru succeeds! It’s refreshing reading stories where not everything is sad or being a downer or MC being in a gloomy disposition. If anything they can be in charge of their own destiny and things work out in the end but not perfectly. One last note: I fucking love the way he draws women (mature and not kawaii looking). Blade of the Immortal has an excellent example of fine women drawing where they never look underaged.
@spacedog64410 күн бұрын
Ah that makes sense. You did a great job of describing Minoru Furuya’s works; I’m even more interested in reading them now!

Based off the series that you have and like, you should 100000℅ check out 'Claymore'. It is my all time 100℅ favorite series of all time! I grew up with that series since i was around 11 or 12 which is really funny that my dad showed me a series like that at that age, but im soooo glad he did. It is an amazing story with 27 volumes, i like to say that its like berserk but with females lol. But anyways, its an amazing series that deserves all the love. I have watched the anime over and over again since the first time i saw it, so much that i can quote it word for word without even looking at the show (i personally recommended watching the english dub, the voices match the characters more in my opinion, but you can watch it however you want to)

That collection is awesome. I’ve been collecting mangas for six years, and even much, much longer because I started getting them for the first time in 2011 when a friend gave me a Naruto manga. As far as my collection now, I have all of Naruto, all the current volumes of Boruto, the Seventh Hokage And The Scarlet Springs manga, both volumes of the Sasuke’s Story manga and Konoha’s Story, all of Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragon Ball, SandLand, all the current omnibuses of One Piece, both volumes of the One Piece Ace manga, the Sanji manga, all of Zombie Powder and Bleach, Burn The Witch, all of Yu Yu Hakusho, all the currently made volumes of Hunter x Hunter, every single Yu-Gi-Oh! volume as well as all the spin-off mangas of it, all of Rurouni Kenshin, the two volumes of Barrage, I have all the current ones for My Hero Academia, all the current volumes of One-Punch Man, all of Dr. Stone, Food Wars, Assassination Classroom, Demon Slayer, The Promised Neverland, all the current volumes of Jujutsu Kaisen, all of Slam Dunk, some of Haikyu and Kuroko’s Basketball, all the current volumes of D.Gray-Man, some of Claymore, Chainsaw Man, Spy x Family, Shaman King, Yozakura Family, all the current volumes of Kaiju No. 8, a lot of Toriko, all the English versions of Gintama, some of Blue Exorcist, Kagurabachi, Saint Seiya, Sakamoto Days, Undead Unluck, all of the current volumes of Black Clover, all of Death Note, the first volumes of all the JoJo parts so far, some of Inuyasha and Yashahime, some of Black Lagoon and Sailor Moon, all of Fairy Tail, The Seven Deadly Sins, some of Gantz and Vagabond as well as all the Colossal Editions of Attack On Titan and all the Deluxe Editions of Berserk, Vinland Saga, Trigun and Trigun Maximum. I even have every Kingdom Hearts manga and light novel. I’m hoping to get a box set for Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul: Re. A good amount of these were hard to get since some weren’t sold where I am, I had to order some series from America like Yu Yu Hakusho, Shaman King, Toriko and Gintama. I like to have all my Shonen Jump mangas together and I personally prefer getting omnibus versions of manga so a lot of the ones I listed are in 3 in 1 omnibus editions. I wish a lot more had omnibuses, but I’m still super happy with my collection and can’t wait to get more. I also have a lot of these as anime DVDs and Blu-Rays and many other like all the Studio Ghibli movies, Code Geass and so much more. I also have a ton of different anime character collectibles from series like Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball, Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho, Hunter x Hunter, My Hero Academia and many others.

reborn is so bad, the start for me was unwatchable but i push trough it and i almost reach the end and was still so boring , at the end i just dropped it. One piece is good from the start, but it starts getting very good at nami arc and it gets peek fiction at water7. Arlong park is representing what one piece is about , if you dont like by then, you should drop it. Although how are characters flashed out at the start is not as good, i needed to reread it after i completed it for the first time, to completely understand why characters act the way they act at the start.

In all media I consume, follow a 10-15% rule where I drop stuff if it hasn't gotten good after that around 10% mark. Generally speaking, the groundwork is done by then and the first proper arc is probably happening or almost done. It's long enough to judge the story, the writing and in the case of manga, the art as well. I spent enough time trying to force myself through books that just weren't for me that now I'm really quick to drop things that don't appeal to me immediately. Sad to say, One Piece was one of those. I actually somewhat vibed with the first few chapters, but eventually I just had to drop it after volume 10. I'm willing to give it another go at some point later on, but I'm not very hopeful. But man do I feel like I'm missing out.
@spacedog6448 ай бұрын
That sounds fair to me; 10% seems like more than enough time to see if something is for you or not.

@@Rent-z5y Yeah, the friendship or the emotional moments you refer to just weren't there for me. I read it because I felt like I had to, not because I necessarily enjoyed it. When I was in high school, my school had both Naruto and Bleach. I could check out four books at a time, so I decided I would do two of each and see which one I stuck with. I put bleach down in favor of Naruto, and Naruto became my ride or die for the rest of HS. On a similar note, I was trying to get into Attack on titan when the anime first came out. Watched most of season one, and got over it. Now I have the whole manga, have read it all the way through, and will gladly read it again. I feel like part of what makes us decide a series is good or not, or when it gets good, is just based on who we are at the time. High school me needed to see Naruto figure himself out and get Sasuke back home; Adult me can see all the real world parallels and ideals in Attack on Titan. /Both series are good/, they just hit different at different times, ya'know?
