Stop the bs and... Compare GOATs to GOATs Only 4 players in history have made 10 NBA finally appearances. Billl Russell (Won 11) Sam Jones (Won 10) Kareem Abdul Jabarr (Won 6) Lebron James (Won 4) Bill Russell and Sam Jones played for the Boston Celtics. Sam Jones was a (Scottie Pippen) lights out shooter that carried Bill Russell to at least 7-8 of 11 championships. Bill Russell often grabbed double-digit rebounds with minimal scoring. Meanwhile, lights out Jones would be burning opponents 25- 35. Secondly, Kareem playoff stat for 10 years was trash. Kareem had 1 title in 10 yrs. After Majic Johnson joined the Lakers, he carried Kareem to another 9 NBA final championship. Majic was more potent than Sam Jones because of the triple-double recorded in playoffs. Majic has the most playoff triple-doubles at 30. Lebron is 2nd at 28 playoff triple-doubles. MJ has 2. Lebron Jomes powered 10 times to the NBA finals without a steady and present wingman, like Scottie Pippen, Sam Jones, or Majic Johnson. and with different teams Back to the potent triple-doubles, Lebron is 4th all time with 123, Majic Johnson is 3rd with 138. MJ has 30 triple-doubles lifetime and 2 in the playoff. He could never be able to power 10 times to the finals with ball hog stats. Scottie Pippen saved his career. Only 2 other GOATs achievements are comparable to Lebron James. They are Babe Ruth and Tom Brady

The premise of an athlete or technology peaking at a point of time is illogical and exposes nostalgic bias. Athleticism and technology continue to improve alongside human evolution. That's simply how it works. Some fans have a difficult time separating how a moment or player made them feel from objective truth.

You gotta appreciate the quick on court interview after the game with Phil Jackson & Scottie Pippen. Pippen broke it down & still complimented the Bucks...
@marvin482710 күн бұрын
Great interview. The reporters etc focused on the game, asked relevant questions. MJ's responses shows his humility, his respect , his senses of humor & his over all attitude & passion for the game of basketball. He's always shown respect to the great players who played before him. This is a direct contrast to what we see in todays NBA & Sports Media in general.

NBA is nowhere near this good now. Here, both offense and defense are so passionate and even sociopathic about the game. They fight crazily to the end both to score and defend. Anthony Edwards can bicker all the wants, but today's NBA is just a street fair compared to this.

Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time and the worst teammate to have of all time. His competitive drive and mentality will never be matched ever again, which is why the NBA is dying almost 30 years later.

And to think that they almost won 70 games next 1996-1997 season (won 69 games), but lost three of their last four games, which included a two-point-home-loss to the Knicks on game the final game 82, when Pippen missed a game-winning-3-pointer at the buzzer (he missed badly actually).
