Chicago Bulls GM Rod Thorn in 1984: “We were just lucky that the draft was before the Olympics.” 🐐

What amazes me is the fact that he played his entire career with the same intensity and drive to be the best & in today’s NBA that is just unmatched 😳 Ummmmmmmm and what sound does the Goat make ? 🐐 Baaaaaaahhhhhh

History would have been written completly different had the 1984 Olympics held before the 1984 NBA Draft. MJ would have been in Houston.

Can you blame Coach Knight for saying MJ was the greatest basketball player he had ever seen? I mean this is just a small sample of all the incredible highlights MJ produced in the 84 Olympics alone. Unreal

It's crazy how much he was improving back then though. Throughout college he improved a ton, and by the time he started in the NBA he was a freak. I mean in college he was good sure, but people had NO IDEA how good this guy would become. He was not like Kobe and Lebron, who were freaks just in high school, and where they it was obvious they would be stars, especially Lebron. For his whole career he worked like an animal to be the best he can be. I just find this makes Jordan all the more interesting.

@jamieking007 Who was Scottie Pippen before Jordan? Jordan was an NCAA champion, an Olympic gold medalist who won rookie of the year and averaged 37.1 PPG and became the first player in history with 200+ steals and 100+ blocks without Pippen. Pippen averaged 7.9 PPG as a rookie on the bench. Pippen had absolutely nothing to do with Jordan winning MVP and DPOY in 1988 while Pippen was a rookie.
@SmokeNopz4 ай бұрын
@@KINGAMIIAMKINGPippen didn’t attend UNC with a HOF teammate, dude went to Arkansas state. With that being said, he couldn’t win a playoff game to start their career? Mike not Scottie. Who did Phil say the BEST bull was in the prime? Scottie and not Mike, who has more playoff wins apart? Playoff entries? Who led the bulls in every statistical category (except scoring and stls) for seasons? Oh yeah that’s Scottie too and not Mike . . . Zip him up when you’re done, Scottie is Dwade to MJ. Without Scottie Mike just another shooter and a bad one at that, 10 scoring titles but led the league in missed shots for 9/15 seasons. Get the white from around your lips it’s not a good look
