Here’s the difference between 255/85/17 MT and my 255/75/17 K02’s: MT = 34.1 tall, 10 wide K02 = 33.8 tall, 11.2 wide Based on this I would guess they’ll fit without rubbing, but don’t know for sure. I do think a 10” wide tire will look a bit skinny, but that comes down to personal preference. 👍🏻

I totally agree that 34s are the sweet spot for the 5th gen 4Runner. I had the 34” KM3S on mine and it tackled Moab and Ouray with little issue. I will say that if you drive through mountains or hills often, you’d want your regear even with 34s. Just based on my experience. Great video guys.

I agree with this video. BFGs do run significantly smaller and a set of extended wheel studs and a .5 - .75" hub centric spacer could fix some rub with the 315s. 285/75/17 is a goldilocks tire for these. An SPC upper control arm with some forward caster would help get that tire away from the body side as well.

@@aired-downoverland9239 I like being able to have a kitchen cot and heater in my tent and also standing up to change cloths. Honestly, it’s quite shocking how people would rather spend over $4000 on equipment for their truck but I guess over landing to me these days is just seems like a lot of driving around and not actually enjoying the wilderness for what it is. Compared to probably the $1300 total I have in my entire camping set up. People just seem to be always be in a hurry. Complaining about how long it takes to set up a tent for convenience not comfort. Well I go to the wilderness to take in what I’ll never find in the city. I’m not impressed by somebody’s vehicle. What impresses me is people survival skills out in the woods because what are they gonna do when their expensive precious inspector gadget vehicle breaks down? Climb inside their rooftop tent and cry because they have no cell phone service.

Hey. Great video. What is the main point if these side “wings”? Are they really protecting? I know you already offroaded with this setup, how did you like it? I just think such side high clearance parts are usually heavy and expensive. And still require skid for water tank on a right side. I just wonder of your opinion about how protective and necessary these parts are. Some people just cut and use molding. Having the same or better approach angle and less added weight. What do you think?
