It’s simple: make as much money as you can, have an occupation women will find acceptable, achieve and maintain your peak physique for the rest of your life, be subservient to what women want from you. That’s your place in western societies now as a man.

Quite honestly, I don't know if Jordan Peterson is the right person to be taking relationship advice from considering what I've heard from the grapevine.

Honestly, getting your news from a grapevine isn’t the best source.

Or they lie and say they changed and you give them many chances and it always comes out the same. My supposed best friend told her husband my sister died because she was doing something she didn't want him to know. Then my sister did die, and they she couldn't come by because she lied to him.

Do unto others as you would like done unto you: It's about them not you, focus on them: 0:10, 6:15 When you have bad news you'd like to hear: I'm sorry, explain in more detail, how you feel, I'm always here to help if you need it's not a burden. You need to be able to listen to bad news and respond with compassion, not just analysis. You need to stay engaged and ask follow-up questions later if you really care. 0:30, 2:22, 6:32 When you have good news you'd like to hear: Wow, good job, how'd you do it, how do you feel after everything, you're a really hard worker, I admire you, I'm proud of you, you earned/deserve it, don't be modest. You need to be able to congratulate/celebrate them. Hype/bring them up and their achievements, make it known, and let them know that their work is acknowledged and that they are admired. Get them to brag/talk about their work/accomplishments to you. Let them know that this is how you perceive them. 0:00, 1:31, 7:15, 7:38 The heart of it is you want to be the type of person who wants the best for the best part of your friend. You want to see them reach their potential and therefore: are worried/concerned/helpful/supporting when something bad happens that could impede that path of development, and are extremely happy and proud and celebratory and rewarding when something good happens that takes them further along that path of development. 1:13, 2:54, 8:26 You train people how to treat you with how you respond to their positive treatment that you'd like to see repeated (if you respond positively/rewarding they'll continue). The same is true for how you respond to their negative treatment you'd like to see stop (you are assertive and communicate immediately/quickly that you don't like that). You also train people to talk to you and be closer to you with how positively/enthusiastically you respond/react to them in general (you get back what you put out/in).

I've had 7 crushes or infatuations in my life. Not a single one was reciprocated. I am 46 years old now and still single, so my youth is gone and time just flew by. Recently, I checked up on some old crushes I had on Facebook. They are married with kids, but I have nothing and it stings. Part of the problem is I can't seem to get over this one girl. Those old feelings got kicked up again after 27 years and I don't know why. It seems I never really got over her. I was merely distracted by life events. How the heck do I heal from this?

it's even a lot harder when you're an introvert overly sensitive people pleaser.. I find myself keep running from men. met this wonderful man, 3 years younger than me, has 7 children from all different women, he has a hard life in his twenties, prison and everything, but he's been kind to me, even though his blunt style often wound my fragile heart, I know deep inside he's care about me, but then in the end I realized he wasn't ready for a marriage, plus I'm halfway around the world from him, maybe I'm just not good enough so I decided to left. it's been sucks, can't remember how much tears I shed I'm not that strong

I've found the good news thing to be the most significant part. I've found it's often pretty easy to find people who will help you when you're down - at a cost. The cost is their having to broadcast to you and the world what a fabulous superior person they are to take pity on poor wretched you. What is much harder to find is the person Dr. Peterson is talking about who will genuinely share in your joys. That is how you know you have a real friend.

im afraid that i will never find love again. that is the worst because I set that as the highest goal in life. Work isn't life. work is just to get money, nothing to be excited for. 5 years in the relationship just gone. each day really makes me suffer.

Im with you 100% and get honestly jealous of those who find fulfillment in their work instead, it's so much more reliable than a relationship, but to me it just feels hollow... In a 6y long relationship rn, feel like she's just not in it for real like I am, finally worked myself up to bring it up but nothing has changed, it's always me who puts her and us first, but she only thinks of herself... It's probably time to let go already. Sorry for the ramblings, just needed to get it of my chest and dont really want to let people irl know how pathetic I fell

Honesty at the beginning of a relationship coming from both men and women, as well as a cold analysis of the relationship are really important for not making mistakes down the road.

I got it wrong. It cost me twenty years, and my immediate crazy family. Or it got rid of them, and i didn't leave. No divorce. Just bad choices in three chances from both parties. At 21 years old with a life plan, she had another plan while I was working. I lose everything For decades. Then, Prison was my future years later from anger.

Woman dont know what they´re doing. Those, who took part in studies marked the "right" answers bec they think they are better than other participants "b**ches". In reality they start arguing why they do the opposite.
