Sorry, I don't agree with this. I remember when I was a teenager and it was still acceptable to advertise smoking in magazines etc and elsewhere, I never took up smoking. Why? I made a conscious decision never to smoke because I knew it was harmful to my health. No advertising would ever influence me to start smoking. Even in high school when there was subtle peer pressure, I never smoked. So, personally, I think it depends on the individual's mindset and values on whether they will do something instead of advertising.
