lol white is the safest color to put on a dial as it matches everything. Much better looking than the old gold grandma colored letters.

Do your research. Explorer didn’t go up Everest. That was an OP. Rolex created the Explorer to commemorate the event.

Rolex Two Tone Bluesey is the right Balance, The Blue Dial, The Polished 18 Kt Gold center links, and the Brushed Steel go so well together, and in person it is an amazing watch. The all Rolex Submariner Blue Dial is over powered by the all Gold watch band, The Two-Tone Bluesey is 100% Nicer Looking watch.

Lovely watch - the detail differences 126613 and 116613 are unlikely to be noticed by anyone when they are on the wrist. Personally I like the older maxi case, it was more imposing and substantial.

i have the old version, from design it look better with Gold letters. Gold letter match the gold of bezel and make the dial pretty clear. I dont like the white letters, it make the dial really busy with many letters written on it. And the deep blue color of old version look better too. The only good thing in the new model is the new movement

I have come to appreciate the older 116613lb for its jeans like dial Color. Both have their merits, the newer white font pops out and it’s clearer to the eyes.

@@WristHunt yes i now, but thats the bad point, the Submeriner has bezel with numbers on it, Lume index is big, both hands are big now there is tiny place left on the dial. I prefer the gold letters hide in the dial rather than the white font pops out

Very handsome watch. I purchase the older model 116613LB which is the first generation of the ceramic bezel, AR coating on the underneath of the sapphire crystal, solid links, glide lock clasp, gold text on the dial and the Maxi case which is now discontinued. The new BLUESY 126613LB has the AR coating on the top of the sapphire crystal also which could be scuffed or scratched as to my new 126610LN. Also it has white painted on text on the dial the first generation and the previous generation with gold text dial.

Actually I think it’s fine! Haha I got a 36mm op myself. I just meant if you have a bigger wrist 39mm is good.

@@WristHunt I think it’s a personal preference. I am a big guy with 7.5 wrist, and I wear 36 mm yellow dial OP as my daily. I was very lucky to get this FOIS beginning of this month from AD with some discounted price. Since it’s been almost a year after Omega discontinued this model, I wasn’t sure if I can get it brand new from the Boutique or AD. Omega doesn’t have it anymore but my local AD had one. I’m loving it so much. Very nice review!

Nice video. FYI I bought this watch on an oyster bracelet. But just yesterday I went to the Rolex Service centre and bought a jubilee. This is the first time ever Rolex has sold bracelets separately. You don’t need to do a service or anything. Just availability is the issue

@@WristHunt I bought my bracelet in Singapore. The cost was SGD 2900. That’s around USD 2150. You’re right, both the Pepsi and the Batman both look great on both oyster and jubilee. Oh I’m quite jealous you have both haha. Great taste

Hi. I bought a Rolex 126710 BLRO - I paid grey market prices. May I say I’m massively disappointed. It’s just boring - the bezel colours are dark; the whole watch hasn’t grabbed me. So unfortunately I got taken in by the hype - never meet your hero.

Yes! I agree with you in terms of the bezel Colour being disappointing. In my next video, I also showed that I sold off this Pepsi to get a Mark 1 bezel version. All in all, I think don’t worry too much with a Rolex, if you don’t like it, you can always move it

Great video. I’m seriously considering trading in my Sub for this with a big top up. Any thoughts? I like the Sub but since I got the root beer 6 months ago, it loses wrist time. Tot of getting a Pepsi because I would like to try out the Jubilee, something different.

The new 126613LB dose not match the blue between the dial and the bezel. The 16613 its a perfect match.

I've had both of the 214270 the Mk1 & Mk2. Both have their qualities the Mk1 with the gold 3-6-9 made it a 'different' watch and in low light the gold 3-6-9 did reflect what light there was when the lume was low or non exsistant. The Mk 2 might have the edge as it looks more balanced. Both are a delight to wear as they sit snug on the wrist unlike the Submariner which rides high on the wrist. For sure the Explorer is an excellent everyday watch being well below the radar of noticeabiliy. It is good that it is now getting the attention it well deservers!

You might be the only one who prefer the Mk1 (purple/pink bezel) over the Mk2 (dark blue/maroon bezel). I prefer the Mk2 myself, but I do think the Mk1 will be more collectible long term. Congratulations (again) on the piece!

Haha actually the MK1 is more blue!! The MK3 I had was more purple and black which made me dislike the color! Very interesting that people have different likes, it just makes this hobby a lot more fun.
