Been using Logic for over 10 years and have never had MIDI notes move around on me. I’ve seen graphical bugs in earlier version of Logic X but they were fixed with an update. Any sort of crashes were always caused by third party plugins. Other than that my experience with Logic has been very good.

I compose everything in a linear fashion - if I use studio drummer - I will convert it to MIDI region and edit same for Drag & Drop MIDI sources like Ultra Beat static patterns

Found some new bugs in Logic 11.1.2 on Sonoma (2019 Intel Mac Pro) If you are using UAD plugins in a project and open this project make an edit *Without saving, then quit* - you should see a Crash! Let me know this happens on your projects. I will let UAD know :)

On my m2 pro I upgraded to 11.1 and my universal audio x4 interface is un usable via logic now. I’ve started in Rosetta to see if it fixes and re installed logic (which was a pain with my plugs) and still no solution. It has a latency and bad audio sound quality but works fine on all my other daws (ableton and Luna) I tried not monitoring through logic which seemed to work but the recording would cut out. Anyone else experiencing this?

I would recommend Intel Mac users to stay with Logic X latest version. Logic 11 works smoothly on Apple Silicon (my case), but I know for a fact that on Intel Macs it's not optimized, and Apple won't bother to fix that. Logic 11 worked perfectly for me on all versions on my M1 Pro Mac when using Native mode. The few times I had to boot it in Rosetta mode was a pain in the ass...

Hi, I would like to know why Logic on monitoring never sounds the same. Sometimes listening is all muddy and undefined I will notice this.

I was hoping for some general bug fixes. When I ran Logic Pro 10, it almost never ever crashed. Since updating to 11, I've had numerous crashes, often when I quit. It's weird. My other issue is that when I try to use the studio bass player, it pegs one of my M1 threads and then Logic acts wonky. The studio drummer and studio keyboard player are fine. Not everyone is having these issues, but I sure am. I work around it by freezing the track.

Since 11.1.2 I get a little bit of noise on every recorded audio track. It doesn't appear in the meters or mixer, but is clearly audible. I record 10 tracks at a time for Jamuary: guitar & bass, drum machine, a handful of synthesizers. Everything goes into an Arturia 16Rig, and the drum machine and a couple of mics go into a Behringer AD8200 via ADAT. Prior to 11.1.2, everything went in nice and clean. Now: noise. If I take the main outs from Arturia and run them through a second interface, the noise is gone, so the noise isn't in input cables or the 16Rig. It's in Logic, and near impossible to get rid of without seriously impacting the sound. I just discovered this today, and will try to do more testing. Edit... 10 minutes of testing and it's coming out of the Mastering plugin. Probably time I develop my own mastering chain anyway: chroma glow, a tape machine and compressor plugin on the master sound pretty good to me and introduce no noise. I don't recall hearing this noise before 11.1.2, but I can't go back... Oh well. It'll teach me to put in a bit more work instead of leaning on magic bullets.

Reason is too flexible in drum sequence but the mixer mastering kinda suck in sound. Logic master mixing is too good outright.

Seems like a lot of whining for a brutally powerful program with free updates. Bigwig you pay, Ableton you pay. Reaper is the only other free update software. I love logic and I imagine it will always be more than I can use at any time.

Pro Tip: get a used iPad Air 2. they’re 50 bucks and will run TouchOSC perfectly. Just fiddling a bit with the „logicPad“ template (mostly setting knobs to „relative“ mode), you got an awesome control software. Get a buch for tons of faders and synth controls.

Thanks for the video. For me, the OP-1f hits the mark for the following reasons: time away from my phone/ipad, tactile satisfaction, and portability. It allows me to create on the couch with my family instead of disappearing to the office studio.

To the person asking about how to create an 8 bar loop in Step Sequencer, just change the Edit Mode to 'Loop' and drag the rectangle to the left to change the 16 bar loop to an 8 bar loop. Easy peasy.

Couple things I'd like them to fix. 1. Midi chase should be a global setting, not a project setting. 2. LP should be able to use the efficiency cores as well as the performance cores. 3. And this is a new bug with Sequoia 15.2 and LP11.1.1, fades aren't working properly. Add the fade with the fade tool and it doesn't fade. Add the fade with the mouse and it still doesn't work. Anyone else have this problem with the current system and LP?

My Logic 11.1.1 has been crashing. Using varispeed today on speed only and with keep tempo it decided to change the pitch randomly at will. It's like it's on varipitch. Ugh.

When I share the song the varispeed isn’t on the track. How do I fix this 😆

Ever since I updated to Sonoma for Logic 11.1 I can no longer see the recent items in the file open menu. All other apps are ok. It hasn’t been fixed in the latest update. Apple should also get voice memo to CarPlay so we can use the Logic mix down function to play our mixdowns in the car. Otherwise they have to be imported into another app such as Music.

They need to fix the browser. Your own files won’t play correctly only when logic is playing. We need an always play with your own files in the browser.

Things I would have liked to see in version 11: 1) a more modern and sleek dark look (like the iPad Version) 2) new browser structure in one place (like the iPad Version) with fast (!) sample pre listening 3) the plugin fields from iPad in a more Ableton like rack style would be nice in the Mac version , too ☺️

Id love to see logic step up the modulation game. The modulator in midi-fx doesn’t cut it. We need to be able to drag and drop to multiple parameters on audio tracks and plugins… like the other daws can. Bitwig especially has implemented this brilliantly.

The logic browser needs a total overhaul;. The ability to audition your samples in real time without that annoying pause to fit into the next bar, and tempo stretch
