Hi Tim, I bought a dcf900 this summer, it started doing the same thing as yours after no time. They sent me a replacement but it’s doing the same thing new out of box. As soon as you pull the trigger all the way, it dies. I wondering if you found out what the issues were with yours. It’s not even cold yet in NB. Thanks, Dean

There is one problem but not with the tool its the batteries but its the same for any battery brand cold kills them fast we wrap them here it helps. Great, I lost my entire post. Try again. 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT. One mechanic at a dealership immediately guessed bad oil leak caused by notorious, plastic oil filter housing unit. He said it's a $1K to $1200 repair job. He suggested I go to a non-dealership for a lower price. I haven't had a chance to get a second opinion. How long does it take to change that part? I'm in Georgia. Would be nice if you are, too. Heh. I like to tinker, but I don't know if I have all the necessary tools. And I'm pretty good at small, short repairs on things. I can't see myself getting oil all over my hands. Or possible taking 3 hours to dismantle and reassemble. I'm an old lady, living in vehicle (over 16 yrs), dealing with cancer, blah blah blah. So I'm hoping I can get an exact diagnosis (besides the good guess that I think I got), and find out what a fair price is to pay for the job. Also, the part # you mention above - mopar site said it's the wrong one for my vehicle, but other search results show that exact number for my needs. I appreciate all helpful information. Thank you.

There’s no such thing as ‘a nice reliable vehicle’ when it comes to Ford/Chevy/Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep mate. Just had to get my transmission rebuilt for the second time recently, this time the flex plate had cracked which never happened to any Toyota or Honda I’ve owned (that’s over 25 yrs and about a dozen vehicles). Never did I have to replace oil housing or the rockers and camshafts! So I’m sorry, I am biased.

What year was the vehicle? I just replaced my oil cooler in a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, and the Mopar upgraded part came with a red o'ring to be used up to 2021 models (it is not as thick). The black ring needed to be removed for it is for 2022 and up. In addition, I changed the spark plugs (Champion OEM) The initial reason I did the above is I got the infamous tick at 148761 Km. I replaced all the rocker arms (defective 2011 -2016) and valve lifters (not required but had the cash) and all new gaskets (lower / upper inkakes and valve cover set). When looking at my old oil cooler, it probably did not need to be changed, but seeing this can be a failure point for Mopar upgraded the part and had the cash it was best to change it. Never did this before. I just watched several KZbin videos to build my confidence. I am very satisfied with the results. Running great. Seeing the cost of vehicles, I am investing in this one. To make it more modern, i am looking to upgrade to led lights, a new Android head unit, and other items. Great video. I will update you with the cost of do it yourself and dealer price in Canada.
