What’s the name of that stainless frame on the roof? I’m trying to find something similar for my new small cuddy boat but don’t know the right name. Thanks you

Lovely film there was another film /documentary about 'the old man of Coniston' in which an older chap showed how he made Char lures and fished and also caught rabbits. anyone know what happened to the film?

The film was part of bbc2 series called the countrymen made around 1991 , one of the episodes about a water bailiff in Workington has been uploaded but haven't seen the one with Alan mason fishing for charr on any platform

Yet another nother person claiming to have the actual rod that Walker used to catch his carp. He must have used dozens of rods to do it!!

A very interesting video, a shame that you didn't show us any close-up pictures of the rod though. I have a genuine RW MkIV that I bought new in 1955 and still use it today. I had to save up for ages to be able to afford it, can't remember what I paid for it but I know that it was well over a weeks wages, they weren't ever cheap.

Thanks for the video! I'm trying to size a kicker for my Arima 16', and this was very helpful. I think I'll go with the DF6. Should be plenty sufficient and not much more money.

Thank you for a brilliant and concise video Dave and Eddie. You covered everything. Returning soon to my hometown of Fleetwood, back to the sea, fishing, and no more backbreaking fork digging for bait. Thanks again! Vert best wishes. Tony

All you need is simple good value tackle folks, simple bait, and a quality carp net, sling and care equipment.

Sadly carp fishing has become some kind of a cult. A competition of who has the most expensive tackle, the most tackle, who can cast the farthest, the most cap caught, etc. I think Korda’s videos and the like has a lot to do with this! I keep things simple and enjoyable, ignoring anything in the press or from these tackle and bait companies.

Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats kzbin.infoUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.

Used this tactic but with a rubber band pellet rig today caught 6 commons! Just wondering what size reel that is? As planning to buy a similar 11ft 1.25 tc rod.
