The only bought The Liberator Storehouse Special Malt Moscatel Finished. While it is good it’s not one of my favorites. Think I will try the Tawny Port next

Total Wine wants 200 for this. I just found this at a local liquor store for 114.99 so decided to try it. Very nice, not sure it’s worth over 100 but what is these days in whiskey. Great review! Cheers

Thanks! It’s really a good whiskey but the msrp is crazy! $115 is a good price. It’s expensive to get whiskey here from Ireland and I do think it’s worth a little extra. But it’s definitely not worth $200.

It’s the first Irish Whiskey that’s reminded me of a specific Bourbon. Considering Woodford Double Oaked is $56 and Kentucky Oak was $120, I don’t expect it to fly off shelves.

I absolutely loved the Kentucky Oak so was hugely disappointed by the insane pricing of the Missouri Oak. Fortunately a bourbon friend of mine in a different region of country came across the RB MO at a great price and picked me up some. Now have to plan a trip to visit him 😂

Too many Irish at premium on the premium for their bottles. RB is one of the worst offenders, and $200+ just won't happen.

Agreed. I could understand the price from a smaller brand with a smaller release but it’s hard to justify with IDL considering the last release was $80 less. Shame really, it’s a good whiskey.

That’s a great price! My favorite Single Grain is probably WD O’Connell Single Grain or Two Stacks 13 yr Single Grain finished in Rosé Champagne casks. This Fercullen is also a favorite.

If you like tropical fruit notes, I think it definitely is. It’s a tropical fruit cup with grapefruit. Big tropical notes. I would pick the JJ Corry over Bushmills 21.

I like Irish whiskies, Bushmills Black bush, Green/Yellow Spots, Redbreast 12/15, Powers Gold label/John's Lane......soooo I grabbed this one just over the weekend when I saw it around $55 CAD. I had a big expectation as I love sherry scotches and the Irish products mentioned. Opened the bottle and stuck my nose in it and wowser, nothing but a huge waft of sulphur. I let it sit for long while before going for a taste and most of that sulfur transferred to the palate. A huge let down so far. I don't know but at least for my sake, I truly hope this bottle fixes itself over time :(

They don’t. Only thing allowed in Irish Whiskey is coloring. It’s sweeter due to the Bourbon cask finish.
