Saw in Ireland that they do quite a variety of these cask finnish cask strength Writers Tears. Dick Mack's in Dingle had their own that was finished in one of their own IPA casks. Very tasty

Writers Tears does a Cask Strength Release every year. I hadn’t seen the Dick Mack’s IPA Cask, that sounds interesting!

You can get ice wine in a wine shop and some major grocery stores. It’s a smaller bottle but if you like sweet wine it’s delicious! The Writers Tears takes on a lot of great notes from the Ice Wine.

If you like a sweet Irish...its one of the best! For dry...might go Japanese cask finish..?

For dry I’d probably suggest the Mizunara or Green Spot Château Montelena.

If you had to choose between this and regular johns lane which would you choose????

That’s a tough choice. John’s Lane is spicier and this is sweeter. If I could only pick one I would probably pick John’s Lane.
