I was at this game listening on my headphones but as always I turned off TMS when Boycott came on. Insufferable bore.

That's a long time to be married to the same lady. Johnny must have loved her a lot. Some rock stars remain faithful to the same woman but they are few and far between. So sorry he didn't live longer but passed away due to that awful disease. I know what it feels like. A long worrying journey. R.I.P Johnny.❤xxx

It must have been so draining to pull this off week after week. The music was so uplifting and she was always in full voice. Except for recording artists that appear on SNL or at the end of late night talk shows, this form of entertainment is all but gone. I was 14 when this show was recorded so I'm so glad I got to experience this.

I have the Updated version of this Bush Radio....it has MW and FM ...but no LW or SW....I always wanted this Radio from the United Kingdom.... finally got one after all these years....I could imagine being a kid or a teenager in the 1960s...hearing this station and Radio London with The Beatles and the Who on this 😊. . I was born in 1962 in Los Angeles California...we had Boss Radio 93....in this time.... same Pop And Rock...in to the 1970s... Just Great 👍

Peter Paul and Mary - London, Oct 1963 0534am 14.10.24 fights ensued back in the day regards heated debates re: the quality of folk and the direction it should go or what pertained to folk in the milk bars of the nearest high street.... seems the old high falutin' peace love and conscientiousness has lost it's flavor... so will those two old dudes constantly at loggerheads go get a room and give us all a bit of peace and quiet(?)

@badtux2 ай бұрын
@@siegfriedreiprich1919 Since the song "Blowin' In The Wind" was written by Bob Dylan in 1962, there is no evidence. He may be confusing it with "Where have all the flowers gone", which indeed was written by Pete Seeger in 1955 and was a huge hit for Peter Paul & Mary in 1962. The PP&M version of "Where have all the flowers gone" is the one that I cover.

My mother could never listen to Douglas Smith reading the news as she always expected him to come out with some ridiculous statement or noise from Round the Horne. He was a great foil of the Programme and a great news reader with tremendous gravitas.

It's nice today to be able to here The British Groups that were successful at home but never really cracked it here in the American market place for whatever reasons might have been. We knew there was a group called The Merseybeats because we'd see them mentioned in news articles but their music evaded us somehow. Going back 60 years or so now in 2024 watching this video I can here good sounds we missed out on.
