If you've every tried fitting a closed board fence panel in any wind at all you'll get this. Hopefully the turbine will survive high winds, and meanwhile can someone better design solar panels as a like for like replacement for said fence panels?

At a wind speed of 3.6 m/s, a savonius-type wind turbine like this will get around 6 watts electrical output per squaremeter of wind profile. Judging by the size in the video, it might be around 30 watts for the whole turbine. Really, a meaningful contribution to renewable energy goals! 🙂

I worked for a solar installer company where I was in charge of developing a small rooftop turbine. After spending more than 1 mio euros, we closed our own development. Output and service costs didn't match. Do to many followers, we bought several other types, including this type. We bought 3 of each, placing them at individual spots. All failed to produce as promised. Furthermore, after a short period, they started to be quite noisy. Grinding noises down the building, complaints from neighbours, etc. None of the producers could show us valid data from happy customers. We sold a few to partners who were willing to do their own testing, but we refused to sell to endusers. Luckily. Some that we turned down to sell to, bought the turbines elsewhere. They ended up returning saying "you were right! A waste of time and money, and by now, we have installed useless junk on our roof, that is even damaged " Personally, I think it could be fantastic if it was something that would work. But my personal experience tells me that it would be the worst investment ever. Don't do it. Many have tried, and many have failed. In the lab and in closed test facilities, many times it works. In real life and in the real and harsh environment, it's a completely different thing.

There is a simple Aquaculture technology that, if deployed quickly can make a huge difference in 2025, possibly mitigating Atmospheric Rivers, weather bombs and hurricanes. Aeration is hugely beneficial to marine life and if done when air temperature is 30 degrees cooler than the surface' it can reduce surface water by 20 degrees relatively quickly. Next week, I plan to upload a video that shows that Aeration Technology could actually be used to increase the extent of ice in both the Arctic and Antarctic. It could also be used in the Gulf of Mexico to cool surface water particularly in the month or so before Hurricane season and maintain it a few degrees cooler during the season.

Signing MOUs is not project implementation. It has been delayed and will likely never materialise due to costs, lack of demand and hydrogen technology challenges

300 hydrogen homes at a cost of over £100,000 each meanwhile we have 250,000 heat pumps in the uk which cost as little as £8,800 convert electricity to heat more efficiently and at a lower cost per unit of heat. Support the proof of concept but I really don’t feel the math is working out on this one.

The reason his wont take off is because those doing it are trying to make it too complicated for Joe Soap to build in his back yard: There they are trying to fly figure 8s n shit, with an inherently unstable aircraft design and a whole lot of computer control. WhatTF's wrong with an inherently stable, high, swept back, dihedral wing-blimp combo with a trailing turbine..? That way the thing just stays (close to) vertically above the tether point with no computer in sight. As there's no one to die in this Kite-Plane-Wind-Turbine; a small amount of onboard water can be split onboard to keep it (hydrogen) inflated. Cant get a govt grant of millions to spend (paid) years developing that, so we wont ever see it..!?

it is a good idea but the design is flawed and should be addressed since the light only becomes active when a person comes in range, the path you are walking is in total darkness until you approach which is a safety concern where you would be vulnerable in the dark I think a solution is once you are in range of one light 4 lights in front and 4 lights behind you would become active to try and eliminate the dark patch between lights

1,500kWh per year is about 171W per hour at a price of about $5,000. Compare that to an average solar panel producing 500W per hour at a price of about $100. Quite different.

Scotland really knows how to make themselves bankrupt. Every country in the world is turning away from Hydrogen but Scotland is championing it. Toyota has stopped making Hydrogen cars, all Californian Hydrogen stations have gone bust. Hydrogen embrittles everything it touches and cannot be contained but Scotland is the only country going ahead with a Hydrogen pipe line, 😂

These number assume 9mph winds 24x7x365, which has never happened anywhere on earth at any time in history. Also, you can't store wind energy. Most of it is wasted and not consumed as the grid can't handle it it high capacity situations. The average life of a wind turbine is only 6 to 7 years before overhaul or complete failure. China owns the key raw resources to product them.

The cradle that it sits in appears to block wind in front of the blade. Why not replace the cradle with a support from behind the blade only?

If you believe this crap then the propaganda and disinformation machine is working as the communist woke agenda is working. Hydrogen will NEVER be a fuel used across any are - it’s unusable and the cost is simply mad. The Taxpayers are pouring billions into this project ant a large group of investors will become very, very wealthy even though they know it cannot work in any shape or form. Don't fall for this package of lies and misinformation..

This is an amazing device. For every fish that goes in, 2-4 fish come out. It is like magic. I have to admit the new fish are not very active, but that is probably due to a little shock they are going through and I am sure it will wear off.
