When boiling the butter and brown sugar, is it 5-7 mins start to finish? Or 5-7 mins after it begins to boil?
@heywhatscookin211 күн бұрын
Start the 5-7 mins once you see the first bubble form

How do i store the leftovers- if there are any?
@heywhatscookin214 күн бұрын
This does tend to disappear quickly! You can store it in an airtight container up to about a week.

I'm doing something very wrong. Mine are very soft. Following the recipe that came with the book. Maybe I need a new recipe. I wish I could get it right. And there was somewhere for screen shot
@heywhatscookin217 күн бұрын
Maybe give this recipe a try! They are soft when they are hot right off the cooker but if you put them on a cooling rack, they get hard and crispy as they cool. Good luck! 3 Large Eggs 3/4 C. Sugar 1/4 C. Olive Oil or Canola Oil 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract 1 3/4 C. All purpose flour 1/4 tsp Salt 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder 3/4 C. Powdered Sugar for finishing

I make something like this but in a wok. I also add diced onion and a skinned chorizo instead of the sausage used here as it offers more flavour.
@heywhatscookin23 ай бұрын
Yum, yes so many variations you can do to make it you own. This one had a nice spice kick with the cayenne. Chorizo would be good too!
@jklinders3 ай бұрын
Well this is more of a template than a recipe. Could even add a tomato for some extra zest.

I am not a fan of sausage, BUT that is actually a great meal so I'm thinking chicken instead! Great video. Thanks!
@heywhatscookin23 ай бұрын
@@luisarodriguez8197 Great substitute idea-chicken would be great in this! If you're in a time crunch you could even shred up a rotisserie chicken and you'd have this put together in no time.

Your video was very informative. Right to the point. Love the sprinkles. Can you keep them in longer to get them crisper?
@heywhatscookin2 Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! You can leave them on longer if you like a darker color. This particular iron has a light indicator that I typically follow and as these cool they become very crisp even though they look light and are soft right off the iron. In fact, you can roll them around a wooden spoon handle while hot and they will cool to use for cannoli or drape them over the bottom of a cup and they will cool to form a bowl for ice cream 🍧
