Used to look forward to Ken Bruce playing this every year without fail. Sadly not anymore. I can't be doing with Greatest Hits churning out more adverts than music. Good move for Ken and his retirement fund, but not for his listeners.

Greatest song ever written (but a shout out to "In My Time of Dying" by Led Zeppelin) . I'm dying and I'm glad; fucking world has gone to hell. When I was young the radio still played music, ditto with MTV and when you went on a date with a girl you still picked her up in your car and brought her home (alive). And if you did get lucky you didn't have to worry about what was waiting for you...um.... south of the equator...shall we say.

Nice edit! I love how you end it! Just one thing about the description: it is not just Jon singing and Steve playing. There is Rick Wakeman playing too. And a second voice . I personally do not know if it is Steve or Chris but I am sure many other fans can say.

I'm knocking on 55, grew up listening to amazing tunes like this, my folks married young and had me in '70, I thank god I was introduced to the best damn music that ever existed during this time period by them, there both alive and I'm thankful for that as well, blessed to have grown up in the 70s and 80s to timeless classics such as this. ❤

Does it matter if He broke His spell? So unreal is the future life along the way (day to day) To turn around, to turn around, it all comes through this, it all comes through this feel. It doesn't ring, it doesn't ring, it doesn't ring true. It doesn't ring, it doesn't, doesn't ring true. Silent talking in the system, bring me to this beautiful world. Silent talking, always dreaming, bring me to this beautiful world. Silent talking in the system, bring me to this beautiful world. Silent talking, always dreaming, bring me to this beautiful world. beautiful world beautiful world beautiful world beautiful world

First heard this in the 1978 Wembley (Tormato tour) concert; it blew me away then and still does now. (Also, it sounds quite nice played on a recorder.)The world needs this song more than ever.

Together with Close to the Edge, Awaken and Judas Iscariot (Rick Wakeman's Criminal Record) the finest music ever made. Great animation. These musicians are true geniuses, except maybe Alan White. Bill Bruford used his drums as an instrument. Many generations to come will appreciate these talented men

In a time frame (post-hippie, post-Vietnam War & black Civil Rights march era), when bluesy rock and angry laments were still the essence of heavy rock, YES and The Carpenters stood out above the rest for music that had an altruistic, forward-seeing, upward-reaching feel.
