Seriously Shun, very grateful to give us this presentation, although as you mentioned it is not a presentation at a scientific convention on animation, it is not possible to make animation without understanding the science behind animation, and your presentation was masterful! Thank you very much for sharing this knowledge with the West, without a doubt we still have a lot to learn about Japan in terms of animation! a long way!

Uhhh...I might just be real dumb here but... I don't see the point of the dirt pattern thing. Your demonstration shows kinks and ironing them out with the vector smoother. Does that mean it's hard to design something with this flow tool? Can it be used to precisely design a decal? Like a scar instead of dirt? Or is this only suited for "whatever who cares" dirts and scratches?

Open Toonz is a great tool! It's basically Blender for 2D animation production and the future is bright. I hope the Toonz team & Dwango can drive it more and monetize the open source development for it.
