Cool shirts, the noise accompanying this video, not so much.

I recently started getting into making Tie Dyes!. Where is a good place I can get containers of powder dye so I can save money by making my own? I'm looking forward to learning some cool stuff from you!

There are many different distributors of fiber reactive dyes... Grateful dyes is one I use often, Dharma Dyes, and Pro Chem....just google those names and there sites should show up for you. ..You're looking for Fiber Reactive Dyes

Is this a traditional chem water recipe? Or does it get better results with a thinner dye?
@sarahgypsymcgrewpathfinder512316 күн бұрын
I'm trying to take wrapping my head around it to blasting outside of the box here. So bear with me... You know the classic chalk line that you snap the line and it chalks onto the material what if you had mesh material with a large enough weave for the powdered dye to pass through to the floor beneath it. So one could snap the fabric and transfer onto a backyard deck . It may be possible to "snap-tie-die" and if it could snow on top of that perfect. What do ya think? It might work. I'm a novice but am really good at brainstorming. Let's evolve with the art of tie-dye together☺️

Hi Brother Mark, I am an old hippie boomer that is just getting back into tie dye after 35+ years. I am doing so because I always loved it and I am also looking for a way to supplement my Social Security that doesn't involve being a Walmart greeter :). What you and others are doing with Dyes is sooooo far beyond what I did in the past and I want you to know that I appreciate you and your willingness to share your knowledge in such a wonderful and giving way. I have done about 20 shirts so far and gave some away at Christmas to family and I have several that I am very proud of and will be seeing if there is anyone that appreciates them too. Thank you for your energy and talent.

Fanstastic. Thanks for the great tutorial. I’m wondering with that particular fold how that might look with in a dunk in indigo? Obviously some variations of tie downs. I’m excited to try with a big piece.
@PsychedelicSerenityАй бұрын
That’s a great idea! I think it would look beautiful in indigo. Let me know how it turns out! Indigo is one process I haven't tried. I have all the chemicals and just haven't messed around yet!
