I got laid off a couple of times in my career. I used it to redirect my career to more financially rewarding roles through specific training courses. This enabled me to become a very high earner. Keep looking at the market and tailor your skills to what is in demand. You will be fine, keep pushing forward.

People like this are why so many thrift stores are unaffordable now.

How do you add a "10% off for 2 days" type sale to your listing? Are you only able to do this with items you are shipping? Or can you do it with local sales too?

I went to one of those once, they had us all behind a line and we had to wait while they rolled the carts in. All the grannys were wearing trainers and gloves, and once the buzzer went off they ran and started violently digging in the carts. I just watched, it was almost unbelievable

people like you suck
@leannemiddlebrook290410 күн бұрын
So you go to the most affordable thrift possible and take all the good stuff to sell to consignment stores preventing actual low income people from getting them. Wow you seriously suck. That's heartless.
@CallMeRabbitzUSVI10 күн бұрын
You are the WORST person for reselling Thrift clothes. These clothes were donated with the intent for low income people and families to afford good clothing. And for you to come in, take what you can and resell them online for profit makes you a parasite. This right here is exactly what you don't do people, don't be like her 👿👿

I have a friend cut mine, and she's just like "pay what you feel like". Which is usually $30-40.

Wow the thrift in America is so good so sad that i have to live in Europe in a small village near Rome and thrifting is more like walking on a bazaar like piazza where you’re dying from heat and you need to search from big piles of clothes in a thigh crowd and while not having any way to try it on but at least it costs 50 cents and also the immense amount of time that i spend looking though clothes that cant even fit me because im tall or at least taller than ITALIANS I GUESS because my height in America is considered BY RESPECTFULLY WOMEN IN AMERICA SHORT AND I CANT WRAP MY HEAD AROUND IT WHY DO YOU NEED A TALL MAN LIKE THAT WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO WHIT HIM?! LAB RESEARCH?? I HIT MY HEAD MORE OFTEN THAN I DRINK WATER AND IM CONSIDERED SHORT?! ARE YALL ON DRUGS AND ALSO WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO FIND NORMAL CLOTHES IM NOT EVEN TALKING ABOUT ALT CLOTHING BECAUSE THE ONLY THAT I HAVE IS A PAIR OF SHIRTS AND A JEAN OR WHATEVER THE SINGULAR OF JEANS IS THAT I BOUGHT IN THE CENTER OF LATVIAA DO YOU EVEN KNOW WERE LATVIA IS?! CAN YOU EVEN POINT AT ITS FLAG!? HOW MANY TRIFT STORES YOU HAVE THERE?! THERE IS NO WAY! IM SO DONE GODDAMMIT I JUST WANT TO BE A COOL KID! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?! Edit: sorry guys i was having a bad day

You forgot the 3rd - Karen. " Oh, that was not priced right. That's going to need to go back to be priced correctly (i.e. higher) ' Had it happen to me. I pulled some under armor leggings priced for $3, lady at checkout said it should have been priced higher and tried to get me to pay a higher price for it and was pissed when I said I'd rather just not get it then.

The first one is always an older woman and they’re a damn blessing. Definitely from the south too. Had a lot of cashiers like this at Goodwill in my small city in Virginia.

@AlwaysKDawg I'm not an older woman, but it feels good to hear you say that cause it's almost my exact situation. A cashier in a small town in Virginia. We're getting the good rep

At Goodwill? It's the second one. Except they don't even give you bags. You have to bring your own or carry it out with your hands.

I've met the first type at goodwill lots of times before, but I also live in the south in a small town area lol
@puzzledust8812 күн бұрын
I work at a goodwill in Virginia, so maybe it's different where you are, but we absolutely have small and big bags for whatever the customer needs, but I always ask if they want one first because some people don't. I'm also always commenting on the cute things I see when I'm ringing people up. I want my customers to feel good about what they're buying

People have plenty of options to buy cheaper clothing. I’m not forcing them to buy anything.

@jeffmarin704026 күн бұрын
@@amberwavesofbrain_ maybe spending isn't the right word but it is something I have to include in my written budget. It's money that can no longer be used for something else (until retirement of course.). Otherwise glad to know you are building a nest egg
