This video literally addressed every point I disagree in the first video. The 20years event was also a pleasant surprise for chill players!

Ilvl, attunement, tactics, party compisition, pull rotation, mob priorization, combat rotation... the list goes on and on. I picked up WoW little over a year ago and quit four months of hardcore grinding, gearing and becoming the second best warrior on my server. I could never relax playing the game. A million things that needed to be done. Specific items and rep-grinding was a constant demand to avoid being called out for poor character optimization. Wrong pull rotation in a dungeon was one the deadliest sins imaginable. Didn't matter if the party dominated the mobs on +13 to 17 and we kept good pacing. Constantly I felt years behind because the gap spanning years before I played again. I traveled between Shadowlands and older zones in an vain attempt to complete older content. Eventually, I began exhausting myself. Then, after two days of hard grinding heroic, I made a mistake. A mistake that we dealth with flawlessly. I pulled the wrong mob pack and the confused rogue, who saw my my mistake, tried to correct me by pulling another mob pack. I tanked the mobs and we murdered the two groups with no casualties. The rogue decided to berate me and call the healer a moron for downplaying this error. After that I realized that old WoW, the fun I had with the game despite the grind, the fun of existing within this world was gone. Replaced by the mindset of tryhards, hardcore gamers, and main character syndrome. Where the outlook of this is just a game to enjoy was now instead your second job with millions of potential bosses.

I want to feel like I'm part of the world again, not the champion of Azeroth <3 <3 <3

Never played WoW because in Asia it wasnt IN. There was Ragnarok which was the asian version. Came to Europe and played CLASSIC WoW for 1 year. It had the same feeling as Ragnarok which was amazing. Unfortunately I had to stop when my activity became raid logging. But yeah, I think it's safe to say that the majority of Old skool gamers miss the adventure in RPG's.

I'm of the opinion that this is a good thing. It doesn't honestly change a lot, and it follows some previously-established steady growth and progression of amenities. When it comes to useful mounts, over the *20* years that WoW has been around, we've gone from the mammoth (repair), to the yak (repair+mog), to the original longboi (auction+repair), to this. There may come a day when we have mounts that upgrade our gear, run our sims, walk our dog, etc., but it's taken us twenty whole years to get to this point, so I don't assume we're suddenly P2Wing every amenity. WoW isn't the game it was 20 years ago. Having a portable, infinitely-accessible mailbox may not necessarily be a bad thing. I'm reminded of a paraphrased quote from one of Blizz's patch notes: "We came to an understanding that our philosophies were drilled into us by our predecessors, who had them in place for a game that existed years ago." It's okay to move past these limitations. New limitations will be put into place, and others will be broken.

Maybe they should just make a version of the game where we jump ahead in time, to a day where we are no longer heroic champions and living legends, but rather hear stories of those legends in myth. And we'd be back to being those 'nobdies' in a vast world. Just imagine how big they could make Azeroth alone, if they just remade it all and made it more realistic in size. Every single zone, just made bigger, along with natural (or unnatural) changes that came with time. That'd make it easier to explore the world anew. Old kingdoms and alliances could've been undone, changed or just eradicated. But then again, that'd require some amazing writing to succeed, and I've lost a lot of faith in writers occupying the Western culture of today. Too much contemporary focus, too much social and ideological messaging. But I suppose we could dream.

i hate it as much as the 5m mount. And it's a lot. It was already stupid back then, so much ppl spent money on token to get it, and since having it made you able to make more money than others, it was already pay to win. Yes it was farmable but it's not in the game anymore.

I simply just wish that if they were going to add a auction house mount it shouldn't have been another brutosaur, and let alone a golden and shinier one. Not to mention the summonable, no cooldown mailbox, is really where the value comes in.

I remember when shamans could still knock people off mounts with Thunderstorm, I was griefing people after the open world pvp battles (usually lake wintergrasp in northrend). I had engineering with a parachute as profession so I chased people and knocked them to their death while me landing safely. What was even more funny (or evil, depending on the point of view), I had the 310% speed flying mount from the raid achievements, so most people couldn't even escape with their plain old regular 280% speed mount XD. A few months later it got patched out and my warlock buddy in my guild said it was my fault for them fixing it :D

My thoughts is 90$ is nothing compared to a similar thing like a 400 dollar skin that League of Legends did, and unlike Lol, my 90$ has a utility that will pay dividends to me forever now. I could get this "separate activity" by just paying for a second subscription. After 9 months, blizzard will have lost money now. They gave me an option to spend less money for something I was already doing. Also speaking out pricing out their players. Try a 5 million gold, now 10 millions gold mount to access the same thing. That's unreasonably high for regular players who have day jobs. Though I do agree with the sentiment that you should make it something accessible in game, The OG AHmount taking it away was garbage tier blizzard move, but this is a tiny price to pay for convince.

Meh its just as pay to win as anything is these days, you can use your gold to buy tokens and redeem for store credit and get the damn thing. The only real difference is that blizzard makes a buck off those tokens you bought from other players. The moment the wow token was put in, blizzard gave their stamp of approval for pay to win, before the token it was also pay to win, just not sanctioned by blizz(chinese gold).

my girlfriend started saving gold for original buto (which costed 5 mil ) ... with hopes that it will re-appear, or maybe someday will save up to gold cap and buy it from black market. She managed to save about 3 mil in 3 expansions, by farming and collecting stuff. (which is still not enough) New bruto came out , she bought tokens for in game gold, exchanged them to blizz balance and got the mount for 1.8 mil gold. THAT'S LESS THAN HALF PRICE OF ORIGINAL BRUTO. new bruto is cheaper, better and accessible to more people than previous one. I wonder what made blizzard more money, the 90$ bruto, or people buying tokens to buy 5 mil bruto? with token system in wow , $ = gold and gold = $ , so basically everything that has cost is pay to win? and why everyone is mad about this mount?

None of these arguments make any sense and I hear it constantly from people who dont have the mount. 1. You dont have to buy it, it doesnt make your character more powerful, or give access to something you otherwise dont have. 2. It does exactly the same thing as the normal AH in any capital city, the only difference here is that you dont have to be there to use the AH. 3. The reason its so expensive is to limit the amount of people who own it, otherwise everyone would get it and the other AHs would be redudent. I really hate sounding like the elitist whales but to me it just sounds like bitterness and jealousy because you dont have the disposable income to buy it. For me it only takes a few hours of real life work to earn the money to buy that mount. But earning a million gold in wow or more would take weeks. Real life money is easier to make and easier to spend.

yes I miss that wow where there were no youtubers, no streamers, where there were no guides on how to make things perfect, which was the best team, where googling was very difficult and sometimes you found gold in a forum. The good old days

whole problem of your video is that in fact it was WoW that turned the tables and they also already did so with vanilla, just not fully because oldschool devs still had a hand in it. wow brought the great casualization and corridor gameplay. mmos were never meant to be. its just abusing the "give the monkey sugar" principle.

There shouldn’t be a cash shop for mounts nor WoW token to begin with. It waters down the point of the game.

Heres how i see it, i dont get why people care so much. is this mount P2W? No. was the old one p2w? no. is it QoL? yes. so people who say its p2w clearly dont know what p2w really means which i then suggest you to go play a game like black desert online, where cosmetic outfits give stats, where pets give stats, and so much more that is legit just p2w because you have to pay for these items with irl money. Its dead now, but if you played archeage then youd know what real p2w feels like. didnt play it? look up sloth glider and how it broke the game. Anyways, this mount is just a QoL mount that you dont even need. its simple as that. it sucks that its so much but youre fine without it. it takes a few hours, or if you wanna shell out a small lump of gold which isnt even that much gold, you can get all the parts you need for the garrison AH. you get a hearth to your garrison and if im not wrong, there is a mailbox right outside of it. i feel like the ones who truly should be upset over this mount are the hardcore mount collectors, not the every day andy collector whos like oh yea i collect and dosnt even have any of the rare or hard af ones to get. im talking people with over 300 mounts. them are the people who deserve to be upset because its 80 dollars. as for casual and ect be quiet you dont need the mount you dont even have to buy it. if you dont want it simply DONT GET IT AND SHUT UP. Cant afford it? oh well. dont get it. your life will stay the same with or without it. its not like getting it will magically accumulate you wealth fortune or anything. just some dam mount bro.

I think you can still play it as a game, but it does seem you're pushed into that direction, by the game to play, as he's describing. I played for a while, but but it became like a job. You had to log in and do these quests and get these rewards so that you're gear was up to top notch, so that you could do the most damage or heal the best. It just became a slog and frankly not fun at all.

It's bullshit in my eyes. The game itself along with mounts, pets AND toys cost 90 euros or so. So having a single mount with functionality that you can perform in-game for free seriously does not warrant the price.

i never say this mount as an investment for the game itself, it felt like Microsoft trying to make back their investments

I guess it's still better than 5 mil gold because you can buy tokens for wow gold and get this mount for a lot less gold than the OG brutosaur. Or just swipe a credit card. Either way, I don't care. I don't need it and I don't buy it.

$90 because it's a cash grab and they know it sells well regardles of the hefty price tag. Price it at $40 and you lose a lot, it won't increase the quantity sold as much as you drop the profit margin per unit sold.

They should remove the option for people to use the mount if they don't own it

I find the competitive part of the game more fun, but these have their charm.

Never really played wow, only the free trial to level 20 with a dranei and night elf (so azure & bloodmist isle and teldrassil + darkshore) but i did play every eso quest zone, which took me about 20hrs per zone. I do every quest, explore every nook and cranny and talk to every npc. It's not challenging, as the over world content is easy as all hell especially if you weave and anim cancel. But i still have a good time doing it. I also run dungeons with my brother, just 2 people on normal as opposed to 4. I don't burn the bosses down but instead try to discover their mechanics myself. It's so much fun this way.

How is water walking just there for novelity? You never used it for fishing? Or pvp? Do you not know that....well have u never actually noticed that walking on the water is much faster travelling than swimming?

Hmm Im with you a lot of the way, but, I think you are somewhat missing the point when you are saying that you dont care if the corners of the world are "empty or not". That hallway you mentioned at the start of the video was put there because someone took the time to put in there... It was a deliberate design choice, even if the reasons behind it are obscure today. For immersive, engaging world exploration to be fun, you do need small stories and cute little environment designs to be spread all around the place, that stuff does not come easy. What you are looking for is a game designed and built to be an immersive world rather than a single epic adventure, which I whole heartedly support, I just think its a mistake to think that those kinds of worlds are any less designed than modern wow, the design philosophy is simply different.

2 types of people in life. 1 rushes to the end, missing everything along the way. 2 those who take their sweet time, notice it all, get fully immersed and have real enjoyment.
