Hey Everyone! Thanks for watching and thank you for your comments! There's a few things I wanna call out to address most of the comments: 1. The quest addons and UI addons I use are Dialogue UI and Plumber, they're both great and I highly recommend both for more immersion. 2. Your feedback about also slowing down and enjoying the game is inspiring, and reading your personal stories is awesome! 3. I am not sponsored by Blizz, nor anyone else, but I sure would love a sponsor someday LOL (sorry guys, Blizz didn't pay me to say good things, I actually like the game) 4. I am surprised by all the hateful and phobic comments being left here, it has been more than any other video I've ever released. On my channel, I believe everyone should be accepted, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, orientation, etc. --- leave the hate out or get out. Thank you all again for you support here and kind words! Take Care!

Great idea! Putting this comment down so I get notified if you organize a guild or a discord. I love playing all of the content, the exploring, questing (reading each and every quest), proffessions, RP, but I also like the thrill of M+ or raiding, but I don't like to do it with people who loose their nerve quickly. For example I really love the flavor of paladin this expansion, and love healing since the begining of time, and I find it hard to pratcice healing with holy paladin (1st time) in dungeons with actual people, because everyone is in a rush and so unforgiving... So if this is making any sense, I do like the challenge, but with easygoing people around me. And I would like to play with that kind of people, and to talk about how awesome the world is in between challenges :)

Very well put. I think we need to "relearn" to enjoy games in an era of guides, tierlists and content creators. We all remember fondly when we where completely immersed in a game, and chase that feeling without finding it. I have tried limiting the amount of content that i consume going into a game and this feeling is coming back slowly.
@lancelotkruk6662 ай бұрын
Yeah. I really think the wow content in type of; „10 things you need to do before or after 80” or „gear as fast as possible” is really destroying many people pace of the game and make it seem like they participate in a race of some sort.
@Krulfar2 ай бұрын
@@lancelotkruk666I dont think you can blame the content for that. They are, mostly, just spreading information, you are the one responsible of how you use that information. I've seen many of those videos out of curiosity and still I leveled slowly, completed the Loremaster achievement, did only a couple dungeons and delve and played some pvp. If you see people running in the street nobody forces you to run with them, this is the same.
@vividly942 ай бұрын
@@lancelotkruk666 Well its not just that. Blizzard has continuously dumbed down the game, exited out the 'journey', forgot how much leveling matters in an MMORPG, and proposes and almost forcefully makes the game 80% end-game and 20% leveling. They've taken out RP elements of classes, then put in items and pets instead. Put a shop in-game, which breaks immersion, and went a narrative driven road, rather than a world building one. I don't think its the player bases fault, but the fact that Blizzard entertains this sentiment in the first place. Information is key, and its how you extrapolate that information that makes a good or bad reason to play a game a certain way.

I'm quite glad that I never understood looking up a guide or tips when playing a video game when you're doing a first playthrough because the beauty of playing video games. This video really resonated with me. I almost commented on your previous video about perspectives on Dragonflight, but I think this video sums things up fairly well already. I was already coming to some of these feelings during Dragonflight, because my experience was different. I never raided or went gear hunting; I didn't really have the time. What playtime I had was better spent exploring (and maybe crying a little with some of the quests). Dragonflight was very healing for me. I got very emotional helping the people of the Dragon Isles, both happy and sad, and I found endless nooks with tiny details and easter eggs galore. It was a place I wanted to be with characters I wanted to be around, with vistas and music that appealed to me... It doesn't hurt that dragons are also really cool. As time marches on, I'll miss that place. But, I'm pleased to see that the bright and beautiful Dragon Isles have been followed by another fascinating region to adventure in... and cry in too, I did that quest you mentioned~

I have been on the fence with War Within, but if it *feels* like a lived in world once again instead of "unknown versions of [X] lived here and you didn't know it" (DF's Centaur clans). Then I saw these 2 videos. ❤ When my buddies and I jumped back into TWW, they immediately set to hitting 80, then aotc and now CE… my life doesn’t support that kind’ve grind time anymore and I was afraid I’d feel… left out? behind? But I don’t. Instead I’m taking the opportunity to fully complete the zones, read quest text, search the nooks and crannies and having a ton of fun doing it. There’s still the pressure of getting stuff done daily or weekly, but because big axes go swoosh and I like swooshing big axes - not because I have to keep up with anyone anymore. So, in short: Thank you. It feels good to know there are others out there like me, who are excited for a slower paced adventure in Azeroth when real life is already moving so fast. My next challenge is to balance out the moving parts outside of WoW so I can slow things down and smell the peacebloom IRL too.

i had to do this with all games, not just wow, slow down and let yourself get immersed into it, i used to be always about how quick i could get to the end, how do i make my character the best, etc., i started to realize when i played that way it made it feel hollow and empty, but a few years ago, i started to really just slow down, read the quests, really pay attention to what was being said and done, look at the environment that they built and it's story telling, asking what are they trying to tell me, instead of just running by it not caring because it has nothing to do with the next big loot, and it alienates some people but for me it just makes it way more enjoyable

“…I really slowed down and smelled the peacebloom…”, coupled with the visual really brought home your point. This is the video TWW deserved.

Funny this was recommended to me, I started playing TWW yesterday and went about the game the same way you did - Go slow, read the quests, look around and play the game like I was just discovering things and having fun. Not GOGOGO. I've been there. I lead a speedrunning classic guild that competed with the best. I played a boatload of mythic/heroic raiding in prior expansions and I tried my hardest to get "good". I think I've done that kinda enough now. It's STILL fun to do so, but I also think I can just play WoW...As a game. Not as a machine I NEED to optimize every millisecond out of. Great video. TWW is very fun to me so far. - An Evoker at Level 74

You could always do that though, speed leveling and gearing is a choice you make :P

Great video and W take! For the first time since classic I've stopped chasing gear and levels and just been enjoying the game. Downloaded Dialog UI and Voiceover mod addon and Ive been so immersed. I have about 25 hours in and I haven't even completed the main story yet.

I really agree with your points. I like the direction wow took with this expansion, making it more casual friendly for people that dont have much time due to real life obligations. There is one point that I believe needs fixing though. They should make previous areas of the game relevant again. I mean you have a huge map, one of the biggest of the industry, and about 90% of it exists only for you to level up and move to the last expansion. It doesnt create a feeling of a lived in world, when a small portion of the map atracts most of the player base while the rest is baren.

i love how i got recommended the previous video you posted that i kinda related to at first and then this one came up which i also very much agree with. i started playing WoW TBC last yr in March with some friends as an undead priest and now im playing solo in WOTLK on another server with my bf leveling his own character. Though Im the same as you in terms of your new outlook in this video because my first time playing i wondered why tf is everyone in such a hurry to level so fast and it felt like homework in a way and thus felt like it ruined my first time experience because of the rush.. nowadays in this version i find myself taking my time to do whatever i want between leveling, like exploring other lands (especially when i get lost HA), looking for treasure and just admiring the little details & beautiful scenery that makes WoW still a very fun and unique game (: and it's funny because i still get nostalgic from literally a yr ago playing as an undead priest again. Especially with those early levels, when it's all still fresh and new ahaha so still a win. There's a saying that i dont remember as well and it goes something along the lines of you being your own limit. The sky's not the limit? hmm..

just to add, i think it was best for me to even level alone (i had wished to level with someone who was also fairly new too at the time i started playing) but solo leveling helped me to figure things out on my own at pace im comfortable with so i got to truly enjoy the game in all it's glory (:

I think it's our high performance culture that makes it, it's everywhere even in dating or mundane things like fixing your stuff, everything needs to be the best, fastest, expensive etc. I really dislike it

Great video. Especially the last part. Ever since DF I’ve taken a different approach to the game. Taking it slow and smelling the roses instead of trying to rush to the end. The experience feels much better. In TWW one thing I’ve done is minimize sky riding. Instead of flying around point to point I’m riding my ground mount and taking it all in. You just don’t get to appreciate everything that went into the world when you fly over it. Purposefully slowing down has made this a great expansion for me. I also found myself a great guild of friendly players which helps a lot when I want to do group content.

Agree, this expansion has been great so far. Just waiting to let it sink in and see if it stands the test of time. Not sure I agree with "it's always been there' I've always played at the same pace...Shadowlands and Dragonflight didn't quite pull me in. I've really enjoyed the 'stay awhile and listen' options. Talking with Faerin and Anduin, The Steelstrike Family...amongst others. Also visually and musically Hallowfall is one of my favorite zones ever. High hopes it continues to be around this level.

I have a question, what is that modern look quest UI that you have? is it an addon or did they add it under some setting ? EDIT: Nevermind it is an addon called Dialogue UI. They should add it as the default IMO.

Might be a weird question but I love how your game looks, what addons do you use?
@adampielach49422 ай бұрын
It's great that everyone can enjoy each and every game the way they want and I'm more than happy that people get to enjoy WoW more, as it used to be in the early days. Even though I have shared the same playstyle as you for years, I don't think this is a good measurement for that particular game. We can't forget that this is a pay-2-play game that is supposed to be MMO. Gathering, crafting, questing is just a cherry on the top. The core of the game is its mechanics and breath of fresh air every expansion. If that part is derailed, then monkey-patching it with updated graphics and lovely music won't help it. It's just the thing that the game has lost along the way.
@David-ox2ij13 күн бұрын
WoW has not changed. The leveling is even faster than before. The exploration is done quick and we are going back to grinding and raiding, like a 9 to 5 slave job. It is about getting quick max level to enter the repeating loops.

Idk I dont like it anywhere, it's a boring trope and sets you up to win no matter what, what I find extremely cool is if you are the hero of a small circle, like your village or family while in the spectrum of the world you are just a random guy, now that's interesting
