Q- I'm normally just a listener but I do have a question... I bought some kits about 20 years and started one last weekend. The whole kit went great until I started putting the twisted wire hangers on, the solder will not stick to the twisted wire, it is copper on the inside. The twisted wire did come with the kit. I am going to try a fine steel wool and see if that will work, do you have any other suggestions? Thanks! Sure enjoy your weekly Q&A!

I am a bit of a dufus. I asked if you knew where to find the video about the razor blade method to cutting up your pattern and I tried looking through all the titles on the channel for it, I even asked you about it and I still didn’t find it so I stopped looking. Just now I looked in my saved video on my KZbin account for a quilting video that i had saved. Guess what, I found your razor blade method in my saved files. I guess I thought it was something I needed to remember! Like I said dufus!

Thanks for that! This is the glass cutter I currently have and I wondered what those were for. I also wondered it I was holding it the right way ... apparently I've been using it backwards.

My home is 200 years old and my wife loves the old lead glass windows, she will not let them go so I have learned how to replace the ones that have broken over the years. I have a small property management company and some of the benefits of this is I find a lot of old things that we have been able to use to keep our home in its original condition. I found in a massive basement clean out job boxes and boxes of old glass window panes. Last year I began refinishing my trim boards and Replacing the cedar shingles I am almost done. I just refinished the two bay windows and they look amazing. I wish I had more free time to get this done quicker but it is still worth doing myself.

Congratulations on restoring your home and preserving the glass. It sounds like a labor of love.

Real genius right here people, you can look at the grooves on it and tell that the larger groove is for DS glass I wonder if you know what that is if you've been doing this since the seventies then you definitely know.
