Just discovered this channel - love the chats refreshing change of pace from the other channels! I suppose because the revenue purely from YT might not be enough, partnering with sponsors and such prompts having to go even bigger to continue attracting brand interest (maybe?) - keep it up guys 🤙

Thanks for watching and supporting, glad your enjoying it mate 👍 😀 That's actually a really good point, if you can get brands to pay to be on your builds then the more builds you do, the more money you make.

what is your preferred inverter
@Off.Track4x46 сағат бұрын
Hey Davey, I recommend the Hardkorr Inverter, I have the 3000w it's cheap but has a safety switch, and automatic changeover switch. I still recommend it even though they won't sponsor the channel 😅🤣 I did a review video on it earlier this year.

@Off.Track4x46 сағат бұрын
Honestly I can't recommend ether sorry mate. The bushwakka has had its own problems, the brackets ripped out of the back of the awning, the metal feet wear holes in the fabric. Both massive issues. Hardkorr is the company releasing a new awning, but it's taking forever.... I'm guessing waiting to clear through existing stock.

Mate I have had my Dometic 110l upright for 4 years, been on some horrendous roads, the cape in the back of a 79, so rough as guts, plus I live in Cairns so it is baking in the canopy everyday. Has not missed a beat, you must treat your gear rough, mine looks nothing like yours, no rust, no tape peeling off, the tape on the back is where the spray the insulation foam in. I highly recommend Dometic, have mates who have Bushmans and complain about theirs not getting cold enough. I also own a CFX 75L old school twin compartment, that has never missed a beat either. So if you get another brand and that shits itself what you going to do then? Go get a new one on warranty and if that one has the same issue then fair enough. If mine shits itself now I will still buy a new Dometic. Did I see in one of your episodes you had your fridge strapped to your back seat, no wonder its broken
@Off.Track4x418 сағат бұрын
Hey mate, thank for your thoughts. I think you need to calm down a bit, your acting like someone who works for dometic. As you can see from the comments this seems to be a common fault with their fridges sadly. No never had it strapped to seats, we sit it on the back seat use the front passenger chair and a pillow to wedge it in place. If you watch my first video it came delivered with the tape all ready coming off, it's just gotten much worse due to the humidity. Sorry mate will not be getting another one after getting the comments I have

Ronnie Dahl must have a new job with Car Expert, seems he is just reviewing any 4x4 to hit the market, wont be long before he is in a BYD. The worst choice he made was selling the 79, that's what he built his channel on and his loyal fan base, why now is he just reviewing cars. Lil and Jake have become painful to watch, seriously if he does not put mud terrain tyres on that 250 and then complains he gets bogged it will just prove they are nothing but amateurs and are chasing click bait. On another note, I was in Melbourne from Cairns so took the opportunity to check out some hybrid vans, stopped in at Urban, the sales person kept banging on about Sarah and Keelan, and the sales person said I should watch their reviews so know what the van is capable of. They even have a SKT pack van model which is more than $4K difference to non SKT pack, the company is relying on a youtuber to get sales on an overpriced van and not their own R and D, the whole experience was rather pathetic. Oh and yes, definitely something going on with the 250's and the channels who all got one on the same day, if you had a choice and dropping all of your 'own' money into a new vehicle, who buys white!!
@Off.Track4x4Күн бұрын

Well, I'm a 65yo lady, non-electrician non-tradesman, just a mum that raised 3. I had to learn to think which still isn't easy, as my two brain cells much prefer hiding in darkness. Power stations are very handy, agreed. I have a smaller-mid Bluetti & 200w panels for smaller recharging needs, a day trip. But for power outages I bought an Anker 3800 w 400w solar panels. And then, awaiting its arrival, I learned: Power stations last ONLY 10hrs to 48hrs if big, if being conservative; low amp hrs (like you said), which stress out the tiny bits n bobs that then can't be replaced. Red flags, money lost. When the 3800 arrived, I turned it right around. On my dime. Anker doesn't pay for return shipping, at all. I bought a lightweight Firman 4000/3750 inverter dual fuel (gas/propane) generator and (2) 20lb propane tanks for now. Your battery plan is the long haul ! Just makes sense, even to me. Per my bill, I barely use 3000 to 3500kw. I'd LOVE to be able to use it daily (minor cooking, computer, a light) and save $200 mth in bills, and save the gen'r as more simple redundant backup! Is there a basic schematic somewhere I could hand to an electrician and say, "Do THIS!" ?

Channels changing approach doesn’t faze me personally. My favourite tv series usually only last 5 years max so no difference. The best thing about KZbin is there is always more people coming up (such as you fellas) to watch. 23:00 I don't mind Matty, he's independently wealthy (through hard work) and a h00t. I remember the Algorithm popping up one of his very early VLOGs (driving/camping) and they were wild - but I subbed anyway. His best VLOGs are when he gets his mate from the Ord River region, with the Italian name, on a clip (who is a Contractor to Army for survival training). Honestly, I don't mind his evolution to boating and fishing because he's so engaging, and has a dedicated cameraman. He who shall not be named, now fishing and boating, films his own clips and he's not as engaging

I should add I know for a fact Lifestyle Pioneers after looking to get rid of their Zone which was a large caravan approached a manufacturer of custom Hybrid Vans ( a 13ft) seeking a freebie, and wanting their supplier sponsors components in it. The manufacturer refused, one stating the van wouldn’t be suitable for their size family,2 that why would they give the a free van when they have paying customers waiting and 3 they didn’t use some of the makes of components that he wanted. After submitting a business plan of how they could improve the manufacturers profile ( not needed) Lifestyle did a 180 and got a Titanium… again just chasing a deal.

Absolutely I smell a rat. Unfortunately Lill and Jakes channel has declined dramatically for me, it’s becoming unwatchable. Can’t believe anything they say these days. Their explanation for the Prado is rubbish. Less power, no storage,only 130k on the Ranger all makes no sense. 100% they got a deal which is all they are about these days. Came to this video for the discussion about Channels changing and leaving followers behind. There have been a few that I feel have done this and while they have continued to grow, they have lost me as a follower. 4wd 24/7 was the first. I loved their content back in the 4wd Action days. I loved watching them visit places, explore and just find amazing spots to visit, I was never a big fan of the harder 4wding. Towards the end of the 4wd Action days that was all it became and then it changed to 4wd 24/7 and that killed it for me. I do enjoy the Off Grid stuff when it is shown but that's all. Tyler Thompson, Very similar aspect. When I started watching he had the Navara and went camping with his son a lot. Places that anyone is a pretty stock 4wd could make it to. He went full time, Got the Patrol and then things started to go into the harder 4wd tracks and that style of content again, not my interest so he lost me as a subscriber. Ronny Dahl is the most recent. I used to love his review and discussion videos but also really enjoyed his trip videos. I have not seen a trip video from him in ages, basically since he started on the TV Show and now the content is becoming over edited with the Green Screen all the time and just boring. Much of the same rubbish over & over, as you guys have shown, The new Prado. It's a new car every time I turn around with his content and while his testing is good, I have no interest in buying a new car, especially not a Toyota. I have thought something fishy was going on there for a while, he is either being given the vehicles or a huge discount which I guess is what Sponsorship is about but still not the content I originally subscribed for.

@@Off.Track4x4 A bit of variety is good, I don't just do 4wding or camping or bush walking but a variety of things.
