02:50 Road Tech Marine sells them - on-line and quick delivery (I know you mentioned on-line). They are a fitting for Marine applications as they are water-proof. You need at least 6mm squared for a short run (10m) to a solar panel (AWG 10).

Funny you mention RTM, that's where I got the Anderson to cig socket adapter on our way out to film this. I really thought they would have had extension cords.

Electrical wholesalers will stock the MC4 solar connectors, Haymans, MMEM, Ideal, Middy's, Sheriff etc, they can be a little tricky to put on too so recommend either watching some instructional videos or get a spare pair. Great review!

Hey mate, smart think 👌😊 I reckon I'm just going to put an ando on the end of it, much easier for Australian.
@ChaseTheWeekendАй бұрын
@@Off.Track4x4 Yeah, Ando's are better for constant connect and disconnecting. The MC4 connectors aren't really made to be used as 'plugs' but would be better for permanent solar installations and where the plugs will be in the weather.

Great seeing the 79 series. Agree with lack of Anderson connectors, but the solar connectors are pretty good when you want to connect multiple solar panels up in series. If you must wear a man bun, wear hat also :)

Hahahahaha 🤣😂🤣 Gary you sound like Ask, she hate the man bun, I just got sick of gelling my hair every morning. Thaks for the comment mate, I heard it's meant to be better for connecting more together, I guess the shops just need to catch up if all these Chinese companies are now going to be selling in Australia, ecoflow and Bluetti are huge now, yet the shops that sell them don't even stock their cables.

We use a bluetti ac180,recharge with a kings 200watt solar blanket,its great, Mrs can use a hair-dryer and run the microwave,we live on the road full-time, beats spending thousands on a big battery system.

I just saw your last video and would be willing to help in some way if you still need it. Not so keen on a hosting/camera role but could help in the background.

That is so Nice of you to offer mate 👌😊 we really appreciate it, hopefully we are back on track this week

Being given a product is the same as getting paid bud. At the end of the day you are accepting something that has a monetary value which does undermine the integrity of the review slightly.
@Off.Track4x4Ай бұрын
Hey mate, I would 100% agree with you if I needed the product or if I sold the products after 1 video. I keep them to continually test and do long term reviews. My garage has almost 2,000Ah of batteries so I definitely don't need the product. Could you please tell me where the financial gain is to myself that would take from the integrity of the video? Maybe I need to explain this as part of the disclaimer? 😊
