You did a great job setting up all by yourself. My husband and I have the same tent. I like to stake the 4 corners before lifting the tent . It adds stability.

You did a good job putting the tent together! That’s great you can do it yourself. I’m going out by myself in a few days and I know I can do it now. Thanks for putting up the rain fly! Everybody always skips this part, and I think it can be the most confusing. Quick question, how are you tying the rain fly cords to the stake? Are you using a special knot?

I'd be staking down the rear only just to stop it from taking off. Easy to remove when you need to just b4 you attach to the car!

Happy 4th, my question is, where did you buy that tent? Amazon don't have that tent anymore. How much did you pay for it? thank you for putting it up by yourself. Because I'm single and I'm going to be doing it myself thank you.

Thank you for making this video. I've been thinking about getting the same style tent for my Prius, and was wondering how it would work with a small hatchback. For the guy lines, have you considered adding foam insulation tubes onto each individual guy line to keep you from always tripping over them in the middle of the night?
@TOCNYS
@TOCNYS Жыл бұрын
I didn't think of that since I use my bars on my roof rack to attach the tent to. I use pool noodle for the gaps to make it completely bug proof

It’s a nice idea but too lightweight for me. I’m going for a Soringbar or Kodiak tent with an awning to which I can just back up my car. I can hang side panels off the awning for privacy. You did a good job putting the tent up. Also, my car has no way to turn off the warning lights for the hatch being open - I would have a dead battery in the morning. 😎

Bravo!!! you did an amazing job. First video I have seen that actually did not speed up and skip 100 steps . I have been holding off on buying this for my CRV as I am preparing to go Nomad for a bit but was concerned a woman my age (60s) would not be able to set it up alone . I am a hiker and very fit but only 5" 2 . You just proved it can be put up and it took only 30 mins with no directions . I have seen 2 person young take the same amount of time so .... WOW.. I would have to use the directions you obviously have set up your share of tents. I see this works with other vehicles as well not just SUVs.. cool,, Loved the video very helpful and I am sure you wanted sound , but really it wasn't needed.. THANKS

300 miles a shift is totally possible with BEV: supercharger if there is one nearby. if not, there probably will be one installed in the next few weeks or months. get it down to low SOC and it will recharge at 1000 miles of range per hour of recharge time (for a little bit). Translation: back on the road in 20 minutes or so, just enough time to catch up on paperwork or reply to a few work emails. maybe even enough time to watch a training video.

@Stephen Pallotta Thx Stephen. Subscribed to TOCNYC YT channel. Good enough? My focus is Tesla panel/PW. Here in Massachusetts there are many incentives to go solar from both state and my utility provider Eversource. Nice, but there are many hurtles to getting the incentives coordinated with Tesla. I have been working on acquiring a 12 panel / 2 PW+ Tesla system for emergency backup over last 9 months w/o success. I’m now thinking on waiting until PW3 is shipping. Does (or will) TOCNYC have any news on the PW3? ThankU.

Nice presentation Tesla Energy NY. DJ is my project advisor for a solar roof and does an excellent job communicating and keeping me informed. I know Justine is currently working with the Town of Warwick to get the permit completed. The process has been a roller coaster ride, but since the restart of the project in late December 2021 I have been quite satisfied with the efforts of Tesla Energy NY. Looking forward to further steps in the process and hopeful May/June install as best guess by DJ.
