Taking my Dad to opening day (a first for the both of us) and watching Corbin Burnes' first start as an Oriole. Fans were going crazy over Burnes. My dad has a sick wife. He barely gets to leave the house.

You think we’ll atleast get some Bengay in the locker room & sign one of the two geezers available? I like Verlander slightly more.

Favorite recent ish O’s memory has got to be Mancini’s last game as an Oriole, Mo GABA day I think he had just passed.. Trey had a 9th inning Walk-off from what should have been a routine pop-fly to right field. But Josh Lowe, Blinded by the sun misses the ball as it rocks him in the face. Trey walked got an in the park homer off of a bloop pop-up that got lost in the sun. This year, was when we broke Clay Holmes and we came back against the Yankees. Karma, and baseball being romantic n shit. 🙃

Favorite moment - Heston Kjerstad's grand slam against the Rangers in June and the subsequent curtain call. It was just a lot of fun to be in the park and enjoy the energy of that with him. I'm with you, Connor, on the trade expectation. It feels to me like the O's are waiting for Sasaki to choose where he's going, and if it's the Padres or Mariners, trade for Cease or Castillo respectively. If not, we'll see how high they'll ultimately go for Corbin. I expect Corbin to wait until Sasaki chooses so that all of the losers can join the bidding for him.

I have been optimistic about the Orioles since they first brought up Adley Rutschman, which continued to this month when the Red Sox, third in the AL East, acquired Garret Crochet, Walker Buehler, and Teoscar--players that are better than anything the Orioles have now, and for which the O's should have been all-in. I was particularly disappointed when Boston acquire Crochet--for prospects? Are you going to tell me that the Orioles, with one of the most touted prospect list in the MLB, could not have outbid them for a young pitcher who is one of the most unhittable I have ever seen. The Orioles will now be lucky to finish 3rd in the division at best., given the Yankee acquisitions, including Max Freid. I don't think the O's have any chance to re-sign Burnes. I couldn't care less about last year.

My favorite is how they overcame all the pitching injuries to Bradish, Wells, Means and not having Bautista all year and they over came this to make the playoffs.

Connor, what about roki sasaki?? He's also one of the best pitchers coming in from Japan, if we can't bring back burns, so then mayb he could be our number1-3 n we have 2nd most international pool money. You kinda forgot to mention about roki sasaki.

My favorite moment in was taking my dad to the game on Father’s Day. First time going with him to a MLB game and both have now come big fans following the Os over the last year. Not to mention that Santander’s two homers blew the heavy Phillies crowd out of the water and got their coach ejected couldn’t ask for a better day!

My favorite Orioles moment of this season was taking my godson to his first O's game versus the Giants when he came to visit. Santander hit a walk off to win it in the ninth. I know it's not exactly a big moment for the team overall, but I will always remember him having the time of his life at the game.

The Orioles highlight of the year for me specifically was when I was in Cleveland for the game on August 3rd. I was in the RF standing room with a bunch of Guardians fans giving me some good natured ribbing and one clown who was taking it a bit too far with the pejoratives. Whenever Gunnar stepped to the plate, he'd chant "o-ver ra-ted" and other hacky stuff. One of the funnier Guardians fans nudged me and playfully asked if I was just going to take it, so when Gunnar stepped up in the 5th, I bet the obnoxious dude a beer that he'd get a hit. When Gunnar not only got a hit but also drove in the go ahead run, the obnoxious dude tried to ignore me until a bunch of the Guardian fans started calling him right when the beer man walked by and the obnoxious dude caved and got me one. That beer was pretty sweet but even better, the O's put up a bunch more runs and won the game.

My favorite O's moment has to be Tony's go ahead grand slam against the Astros in August. Just the way Cowser, Adley and Gunnar set the table for him, getting on down by 3 late in the game, and then the way Santander came up to the plate ready for the moment, it felt like a special moment. Then when he took the count to 2-1 - the swing he put on that high fastball, his immediate reaction and look over to the dugout, and the way the whole place went nuts... that one sticks out. In context, it was also in the middle of a frustrating second half. We were having trouble closing games out but they weren't going to let that one get away. The Astros had an awesome second half it's crazy they made the playoffs when you think about the start they had - that win didn't come easily! Gonna miss that guy being an Oriole. Thanks so much for your hard work in 2024! Best Orioles news and talk out there. I've put many of my O's friends on to the podcast. We listened to the past week's shows when driving to the Yard last year and this year and will continue to.

Favorite moment of 2024: James McCann returning to the game after getting hit in the nose, breaking it and deeply bloodying his 12:21 face and uniform. That showed McCann’s gutsy-ness and team leadership. I must admit to disappointment that McCann will not be returning to the O’s in 2025 though I have nothing against Gary Sanchez. Whichever team hires McCann will be getting a great teammate and leader.

The fact that it only took a ONE-year deal to sign Walker Buehler and O's decided not to beat that deal for whatever reason is a huge disappointment. He looked like himself towards the end of the season and in the post season. That's a steal for Red Sox.

Why didn’t we try & acquire Jurickson Profar if we were gonna move on from Tony Taters.. there’s no chance he doesn’t sign in New York, that nickname already warrants a NY accent. You said not to bring up Bauer but you had German & Severino on your “wishlist” and they both have more controversy behind them then Bauer BEFORE he cleared his name. If Elias really wants to be the anti-dodgers he would sign Bauer. Dude will literally take league minimum. I’m baffled at the choices or lack thereof.
