Urias, Mateo, Hayes, Mullins, Santander will all be replaced withing the next two yrs. I have a hard time thinking about trading prospects.. Elias was hired from Houston to win and compete for a long time. Trading prospects just to hope to win this yr will turn this team into Duquette Orioles and im not for that at all. If were are not good enough this year im okay with That. We are competing but my eye is on our future. Not peaking so soon we throw away the farm.
@LockedOnOriolesКүн бұрын
@@mainetain15 1. You can trade prospects to make your team better without giving up your best talent. The Astros did exactly that. And if you have a chance to win the World Series, why would you not try to do it??? This whole thing is about winning the World Series, not having the best farm system. 2. How can you still be only focused on the future when the team could win back to back AL East titles?? At that point you’re just afraid to believe in this team and feel more comfortable with losing.

Hyde lives and dies by lefty-lefty, righty-righty, and it is soo stupid, espieclaly when it makes no sense. Crawford hits under .180 against righties and .293 against lefties. He relies way to much on analytics even when it doesnt matter

Mateo needs to go back to the bench role. Not only has he stopped hitting as expected, his defense at 2B hasn't been good either. Either call up Norby or Holliday and another reliever while they're at it.

@CamKrazy200015 сағат бұрын
@@MarkKendrick-rv3fh He's good for a month or two with his bat, that's it. After that he's almost an automatic out. Mark my word, he'll be a bench player after the all-star break. Holliday, Norby or Mayo will take his job permanently in the 2nd half of the season. You can live with him when Adley is catching but when he's the DH, he and McCann hitting 8 and 9 is brutal.

@CamKrazy2000Күн бұрын
Baker isn't the one who couldn't get Crawford out, it's Aikin. He fails yet again to get a lefty out. A lefty reliever who can't get lefties out in high leverage situations is useless. It's a shame Aikin got charged with only two runs since he's the number one reason why they lost yesterday.

I trust Kimbrel enough, he isnt going to save every game. I saw an interview with the man second on the list in saves, an he had 70 career blown saves. Shit just happens. I have watched. arguably the best reliver/closer of all time in Mariano Rivera blow saves too. Watched big poppi take Rivera deep to ruin a save. I just worry if some fatigue has caught up the pen, and am curious to see if these days off they are starting to get, and the all star break might help.

Bring up Mayo,put him at 3rd, Westburg to 2nd and put Mateo on the bench, he has caused enough errors recently and his bat isn't sufficient. Sign Santander and temporarily put Kjersted back down, Bring him back up later when roster expansion happens. A lot of jockeying I know. Leave Holliday alone for another month until his injury heals. McDermott???. Someone will eventually have to be trade bait to get another pitcher. Too much for me to figure out 😂

Had no problem listening on Spotify. If Santander, Mullins, and Hayes stay with the Orioles, there is no path forward that involves consistent playing time for Cowser, Stowers, and Kjerstad, not to mention they're all left-handed. I agree with CamCrazy2000 Seattle could certainly use Kjerstad--or Stowers or Cowser. Would Seattle be willing to trade in your opinion? Whom would they give up?

It is good to see Kremer back but Mariners are just a dreadful offensive team. But his return should kick Irvin out of the rotation and that's a good thing. Mariners are a team that should trade for hitters like Kjerstad.

Western Canadian (Alberta) who's a big O's fan, made a trip to Baltimore earlier this year and looking at making another ... can't but help to laugh at the fact that when I was in Baltimore sitting in centre field I chirped Julio "hey Julio how does it feel knowing you're the second best Rodriguez this game?" he turned smirked and chuckled at my chirp, now he's batting 7th, they know my chirp was accurate as hell. Thinking now I might make the trip down for the September series against the Giants and Tigers so that I can then get that Yankees series at Yankees Stadium which will likely decide the AL East ....... He's ready for the big league but still not given an opportunity because there's no opening on the roster. If the Orioles don't want to bring him up because they fear it will affect chemistry, that's fine, but he should be traded somewhere else where they can use him and give him a shot.

I think an interesting thing to do as well is to see how these pitchers performed historically to their FIP and xFIP. If you look at Ottavino and Brebbia, they seem to usually sit near to their FIP except for the last 2 years. If they normalize, we could get a nice gain here. I like it. Maybe Brebbia a throw-in in a deal to get Fedde?
