Just bought my 6 year old her first furby and it wasn't working. Wife and I were swapping looks like it was a 1998 dud. Thought you were crazy when moving the ears and slapping the bottom but then it came right to life. My daughter is beyond happy right now. Thanks so much.

Hi great video there are so many furbys that say not tested or dont work but battery box not leaked. Just dont want spend like 25 pounds or more something that msy end up just a life less toy ❤

This cracks me up SO much coz it really is like CPR and honestly those spooked by smacking them, they're quite sturdy inside everything soldered/heavily glued into place :)! Definitely gonna try this method before skinning them😊

I bought a "new but non working Furby" on ebay, knowing there are tricks to wake them up. Not only did thi work after about 30 seconds, but it is SO much better than taking them apart to spin the gears. THANK YOU SO MUCH. You made my son's Christmas!!!

Thank you so much! I bought an Autumn (witch) Furby a few years ago at the flea market, and though it was new out of the box, it wasn't working. I really didn't want to take it apart to get it to work. I tried your trick, and it came to life after a few minutes. I thought it was just going to be a display piece, but I'm so happy it works now!

I finally got mine to wake up, but he keeps going right back to sleep every time. He'll start up when I hit the reset button, but I read somewhere not to keep hitting the reset button too much. I keep rocking him to wake him back up, but only the reset button wakes him up. And yes, using new batteries. He's not out of box, so I don't have any history on him. So how do I keep him awake? Help!

I was so happy when I found a brand new one, but then so heartbroken when I got it out of the box and it would not work. I desperately tried everything I could think of, and did many searches online. Tried what was said and nothing; it would not turn on. In the end, I thought that maybe it was a broken or disconnected wire like some say on youtube. Big disappointment as I knew I could not perform such a repair and knew no one who could. So I kept it, in its box as no matter what it was still cute. Thanks to your video, my Furby came to life today!! 💖😃

Thank you for the great video. I recently bought one from eBay and it's now getting stuck, for lack of a better word. It either has a constant low beep or it will do a constant static noise after working for a couple of minutes. Do you have any advice for me? It's a 1998.
