In 1972 if you were into this you were a serious jazz lover. ❤

Simply not true. Fusion was still in its early stages in 72, and most jazz fans hated this new hybrid between rock and jazz. This was mostly jazz for rock people, and not the other way around.

Incredible players. Some of the material sounds similar to Mouzon's solo material on "Mind Transplant".

I saw them on this tour. I remember Gary introducing Pat as his 19 year old guitarist. Still can remember how wonderful they played after all these years.

Estão ORGANIZADOS EM FRATERNIDADE. A Ditadura é mundial.

3:01 saw this band at Gillys Dayton , Ohio excellent . Bass player , John Lee grew up across the street from me ,Amityville N.Y. He later was with Dizzy Gillespie , I believe still does Gillespie tribute shows . 6:40

My job is usually to greet people and say "hey the bass player is a monster! Turn the bass off on your stereo and tell me". His name is Calvin "Fuzz" Jones. Please, never forget bass players like Keith Ferguson, Bob Stroger, or Bill Wyman (oh yes, listen ) who blew you away.

I was lucky see this line up at small club with no stage so we sat at the same level 30' away and the energy was something I never seen b4.
Beautiful, haunting, and deeply touching. In short, a masterpiece.

This is not the band…this is 4 people still being allowed to make money off of Robbie Robertson talent…3 junkies and a true musician…and he let them play his material because he could have easily stopped them…they couldn’t do diddly without him…but at one time….they were his brothers.

Sadly, there comes a point where you and your favorite musician no longer agree on what sounds beautiful. It happened with Coltrane, Hancock, Miles and even Bjork.

“Sick this morning…” got a hit before showtime and right as rain. FUCK heroin! But you have to admit it helped make some great art through the years…
